"Hung over me?"

Three words that had gotten Wonwoo thinking: Is that even real? Three words that led him hopelessly liking Mingyu more. Three words that made him have hope that he still has a chance.

Three words that pains him.

Mingyu's relationship with Minji was hard to cope with. It hurt every time he saw them together, even when he still would recall the fight with Minghao. Days would pass and he could have every chance to easily walk up to him and say: "Oh I like you! I like you very much."

It wasn't easy for him and it surely wasn't easy for Mingyu either.

The fight with Mingyu and Minghao continued over and over again. Just about the same topics and it was tiring.

It had been getting worse. By the time Mingyu would come home or even outside, Minghao would be ignoring him. Although whenever he would look at him, all he received back was a glare.

Mingyu believed he deserved it, at the same time, denies. He had been trying to keep up the balance of his right or wrong mind. He tries to keep up with himself if he would believe what he tells himself or not.

Mingyu sat on the couch alone in his apartment. His phone was set on top of the coffee table as he sat cross-legged and "enjoying" a good movie.

He deeply sighed and grabbed the remote and switched off the TV. Going back to his phone, he lay back on the couch comfortably and decided on scrolling through social apps. And in the middle of watching a bit of last week's Hello Counselor a notification popped up.

He scanned the user and his eyes widened. Even after Minghao, he wouldn't wonder why this particular person wanted to talk with him.

New message from Wonu-hyungie

He cringed from the nickname that showed up- at the same time his heart raced.

Mingyu

Can we meet up at Jeonghan's cafe?

Mingyu read through the text and his eyes widened. He hadn't talked to Wonwoo in - months actually. And just by what he sent, he felt everything come back right at him.

The feelings. Guilt. Sadness. Anger.

Everything hit him and it felt heavy. His fingers slid across the screen as he typed for a reply.

Yeah sure.|

Yeah su|

Yeah|

Yeah I'll be there.
sent

He stared at the text again for good measure before quickly standing up and heading to get ready and tidied.

-

As he opened the door. The familiar sweet smell of mocha and soothing saxophone jazz music playing as the bell atop the door rung in his arrival.

He scanned the room. There weren't too many people, as usual. The coziness and the slight silence brought it together. His eyes landed on a table with a man too familiar to him: with dark jet black hair and a cute sweater that extended up beyond his fingers.

His legs moved to approach him. Each step as nervousness rushed through his body; hands sweaty and clammy, his body feeling cold as he placed his hands in pocket.

He watched as Wonwoo tapped on his phone and grabbed his drink to sip. His now extra poofy hair and his slightly tinted red cheeks and nose from the coldness. He was absolutely adorable. His sharp nose and jawline and his specs that sat atop of his nose. He didn't look nervous at all compared to Mingyu. But he was.

Wonwoo's heart pumped fast. The unknowing moment that Mingyu could arrive at any time scares him. He didn't feel okay. He felt like he wasn't ready. Jeonghan had even talked to him about it earlier.

"Are you sure about this?"
"Yes I am."
"I'll be watching you guys if something might happen."
"Thank you Jeonghan."

He drank and sipped on the straw, slightly giving it a bite and a chew from nervousness. Until someone sat on the chair opposite to him. Wonwoo turned his head to look at the person. His eyes widened and his heart beat quickened. His checkered black and red polo on top of his black hoodie. Simple brown smoothened down hair and slightly tanned skin.

The latter looked away, hoping that maybe it could help his heart pace slower.

"How's it been?" Mingyu muttered.

"You haven't met with him for months and you ask him 'How's it been?'" Jeonghan tsked from afar.

"Agh! I'm so sorry. It was a stupid question." Mingyu said again in embarrassment.

Wonwoo chuckled at the other. "You're still as clumsy as ever."

Mingyu looked up to meet Wonwoo's eyes. Butterflies in his stomach fluttering and he felt like he couldn't breathe from staying with Wonwoo like that. But then he frowned, looking away again and biting his lip. "Wonwoo-hyung why did you really call me here for?"

Wonwoo chuckled. "Got me there." he said before he started fixing himself in his seat.

"I want to tell you something." he breathed in and held his hands together, fidgeting with his fingers.

"Kim Mingyu. I like you. I like you a lot." Wonwoo finally spoke. "Maybe a bit more than that."

Mingyu froze. For a moment he felt as if it was just them in the world. Without a care. It felt magical for a second.

Mingyu stood up abruptly. Grabbing some attention from the other customers. "Ah. Um. Sorry. Um." he sat down again.

"Hyung I-" Mingyu panicked. He had mixed feelings. And when he was slowly starting to 'like' his 'girlfriend'.

"I'm sorry hyung. Just give me time to think." Mingyu stood up again quietly. He walked away from Wonwoo, he didn't want to see his face.

Jeonghan watched in panic. Darting his eyes from Mingyu to Wonwoo and vice versa. He removed his apron quickly, his boss wouldn't complain anyways, and ran after Mingyu.

He walked out of the cafe. Looking left and right in hope to find Mingyu. He saw the fading figure running in the distance. "Kim Mingyu!!" Jeonghan shouted as much as he could as he continued to run after him.

Mingyu stopped and turned around for a second and saw the older who was running towards him, before turning back around again and get another attempt in running. And even before he knew it he was turned around and felt a huge impact on his skin.

He didn't notice that he'd fallen down and he felt the pain in his cheek.
