As the got day arrived, Mingyu decided to go downstairs and buy some cola for both him and Minghao.

He arrived downstairs, after Minghao convincing him that he should also go out and buy some extra snacks. Mingyu walked at the front of the machine, grabbing out a few bucks from his pocket. He pressed each button that corresponded to what he wanted, as each drink slid down and out of the machine.

He grabbed a cola and opened it. The satisfying sound of the can popping open and the bubbles bursting and popping-- and the small splatters of the cola that dropped on his skin.

He looked to the side and spotted two familiar people; the silver-blonde hair tied up into a tight ponytail coffee shop worker, Jeonghan. And the raven black hair of that cute library guy, Wonwoo.

What are they doing together again? Somehow Mingyu felt the jealousy creep up his skin.

"You can't be jealous of this Mingyu. You don't even know if they're together." He scolded himself.

But you never know if they are. A voice rang through his head. He bit his lip, he waited, and watched. For what reason? Even Mingyu didn't know why he bothered to stay and watch the two.

"Yeah I'll see you. Bye." Wonwoo waved off as Jeonghan left. They took some time talking at the cafe and Wonwoo got a little inspiration. He was glad that he took that small break from staying in his dorm.

His phone vibrated. He didn't bother checking his phone to see whoever had called.

"Wonwoo." it was a stern, cold voice. Almost as deep as his. Could be only one person Wonwoo would think about.

His dad.

"Dad." he mumbled slowly.

"Your finals are nearing." His dad asks. Wonwoo, sighed and frowned. He was nevet able to have a fun childhood because his father had only prioritized his studies, more than most things.

"Yeah. I know. I'll do good." Wonwoo replied, using the same tone his father used.

"Your mother wants to talk to you."

Wonwoo froze. When was the last time he saw her? He promised last time he would go and visit, yet it was taken over by another project. He wondered how sad his mother felt when he said he couldn't come, it broke his heart to pieces just thinking about it.

She'd always wait for him, and was one of the best mothers Wonwoo could ever ask for. But ever since college had started, his time for her lessened day by day.

"Hey honey~" her sweet voice, he missed hearing it. It was refreshing and nice, like smelling fresh flowers on a cold morning after it rains. It felt nostalgic. Yet he felt heartbroken from his actions— Wonwoo really missed his mom.

"Hey mom." Wonwoo replied.

"Do good alright? I'm here rooting for you, because I know you always have a hard time before tests." He smiled.

"I will mom." Wonwoo replied.

Something stopped him, he couldn't convince himself otherwise.

"I love you" his mother said.

"Yeah."

He just couldn't say it back.
