"Mingyu we need to talk."
"What do you mean, talk?" Mingyu asked, innocently.
They entered the bedroom, away from the loud blasting music from dowstairs. Minghao had pulled and shoved Mingyu inside the room with him. The evident glare in his eyes from the older burned holes into the other. Though Mingyu felt scared seeing Minghao nearly explode from frustration. It had been such a long time since they had argued.
Mingyu stood across from Minghao as he shut the door. Wondering what the latter wanted to say
"You know, I've got to ask you about your girlfriend." he started.
"Minji?"
"Yes Minji." Minghao groaned. "The one you were telling me about last monday."
"I just told you about her. What do you have against her?" Mingyu asked, annoyed.
"Against her? Actually. I'm the one against you Mingyu." Minghao rubbed his forehead.
Mingyu frowned and raised an eyebrow? "Against me?" he asked. "I'm your best friend Minghao, what do you have against me?"
"Well if you are my best friend, what's there about keeping secrets?"
"Keeping secrets?" Mingyu spoke, his hands clammy from the anxiousness.
"For Christ's sake Mingyu. How can you be so stupid!" the latter snorted. "I've known okay? That day when I saw you kissing her in the hallway? How come you never told me about this?"
"I-"
"And what about Wonwoo? What happened about him?"
"I've lost hope for him."
"Lost hope? If you'd only actually start a conversation or be the first move, you probably have called him 'your's' by now." the older said. He sighed and took a deep breath. "You're hurting the poor girl. I know you're still not over him. Stop trying to cover these feelings Mingyu."
The younger bit his lips. "I'm over him, I know it." he denied.
"You aren't Mingyu. If you'd just let yourself express your feelings more then-"
"I'm am not!" he shouted back. "I'm over him. I'm sure of it."
"Stop telling lies Hao."
"I'm speaking the truth and you're the one who is telling yourself these lies."
"What kind of a best friend even are you?" Mingyu blurted.
Minghao looked up to meet Mingyu's gaze. "What kind of a best friend? Someone who isn't as stupid as you are." he walked towards the latter. "I'm trying to make you realize that it's better to stop forcing yourself to move on! It won't get you anywhere, won't give you anything."
"What kind of a best friend am I? Someone who doesn't go around and go waste people's feelings." his index finger tapped against Mingyu's chest.
He felt agitated. Confused, almost. He took a deep breathe in anger. He's not wasting her feelings. He's not forcing anything. "Just shut up Minghao." He spoke and took a hold of his shirt and pulled him up.
"Listen to yourself Mingyu! Everything that you're doing and saying is complete nonsense." he pushed the other away.
"I shouldn't have just helped you that day." He pushed the other again. "You we're so hopeless and confused. I should've left you there."
For someone who has such a lanky figure like Minghao, he pushed Mingyu's body away from him. Mingyu flashed a bitter smile shaking his head left and right before taking his fist and punching the other.
Minghao stumbled, holding the side of his face and caught bacm his balance. "So this is how you solve your problems huh?" Before another punch was thrown and a clash of glass, the lampshade as a possibility, broken.
"This is why I have all the reasons on not to be friends with you." Minghao spoke. "You don't know a single thing that's going on. Your so stupid, Mingyu. If only you'd just actually listen! Then maybe you'd finally go back to your senses."
Mingyu groaned. "This is why you have no friends. You always stop and complain about literally everything! Mind you if you shut up then maybe someone would genuinely see that you're worth of a friend."
Minghao stared at the other. It was a topic the two would never want to bring up. It was a topic that Minghao hated talking about. Mingyu froze and stared. Realized what he said, had gotten him carried away. "No Minghao-"
"You know what? Fuck you Kim Mingyu!"
A loud bang came from outside. The door loudly shut and the room clothed in silence once again. Mingyu's heavy breaths filled and the bruise on his right cheek pained as he brought his hand to touch it.
He fell and sat on the bed. "I messed up again." he said before he brought his hands to his face. "What's happening to me?" he sobbed and soon stood up, taking his leave.
Kiss you instead
