Chapter 32

Lauren's pov

I'm five months pregnant now. Me and Hannah were shopping at the mall. We had been there for about two hours.

"You ready to go back to the Lynch's?" Hannah asked.

"Yes" I whined "I'm tired"

We got in the car and drove to the Lynch's. We pulled up in the driveway. "That looks like my moms car" I said pointing at a car in their driveway.

We got out and walked to the door. I opened it "SUPRISE" a bunch of people came out of no where.

"Aww thanks guys" I smiled and hugged rydel.

"Hey honey" I turned around to see my mom.

"Mom I missed you. How long are you guys staying." I asked.

"Until the wedding that way we won't have to come back and forth." She smiled.

I hugged my dad, lance, Madison, then took like from lance.

"He's so big" I laughed.

"Yea they grow up fast" Madison smiled.

I walked over to riker still holding Luke "where's rocky" I asked.

"He had to go get the cake he'll be back soon" he smiled and played with Luke's hand.

"Ok" I smiled.

I went into the kitchen to get a drink "hey Lauren" ryland said sitting down at the island.

"Hey ryry" I laughed.

I sat down beside him. "Thanks for helping with the baby shower"

"No problem" he smiled.

"Is rocky back yet?" he asked.

I shook my head "not yet"

"How long does it take to get a cake" he laughed.

I laughed with him the the house phone rang.

"I got it" ryland yelled

"Hello" he said. "Yes" "what happened." "We're on our way"

He hung up an turned around to me. "Lauren we have to get to the hospital"

"WhY what happened." I asked jumping up.

"I'll tell you in the van" he went to get the rest of the Lynch's and I gave Luke to Madison.

The ride to the hospital was silent.

"What happened" riker asked breaking the silence.

"Rocky was in a car wreck his car hit another one head on" he frowned.

The tears began to pile up on my eyes but I wasn't gonna let them fall.

We made it to the hospital. I saw te nurses pulling sombody on a gurney. It was rocky.

I ran over to him and grabbed his hand. "Rocky" I cried.

"I l-love y-ou" he mumbled.

I could see how much it hurt him to talk or move. "I love you too baby" I cried harder.

"Who are you" a nurse asked.

"His fiancé"

"We're taking him to surgery right now but you'll be first to see him"

I nodded "thank you"

We had all sat down in the waiting room. Soon Hannah and Ratliff and my family came to the hospital too.

I ran up to Hannah and hugged her "I'm sorry Lauren" she frowned.

I nodded "what if he doesn't make it" I cried.

"Then I'll be your baby daddy" she smiled trying to cheer me up. She always new how to make me laugh.

I laughed "I'm serious"

"I know sorry" she said.

We sat down then the doctor came.

"Ms Thomas?" he asked.

"Yes"

"We're sorry we tried everything but..."
