Once my Bestfriend

I'm okay

When I wake up I am once again in my room. The only thing different this time is that there are people here. And I don't like it. I sit up straight and see Lilly and Lucy on the right side of my bed and the guys at the foot of my bed.

"Uh... What happened?" I ask rubbing my eyes and yawning.

"Do you feel okay, Emma?" Lilly asks.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Why are you guys here?"

"We just wanted to know if you were alright. " Lucy stated.

"Okay well, I'm fine. You guys can go. " I said in a monotone voice. The door opened revealing Jackson and Alexandra.

"Hey, guys. " I say moving from my bed to get up.

"Don't get up you have to rest. " Jake said.

"I have rested enough. If I rest any longer I'm never getting back up. " I stand up but get dizzy. I stay in my place until Jay steadies me.

Alex comes closer to me," are you okay Em's"

"Yeah, just a little dizzy. I'm okay, nothing serious. So you can all go back to your own lives. " The last bit directed to my ex-friends.

"We won't leave until we know you're okay. " Ryan says. Wow, where were they when I needed them. When I called for them. Nowhere.

"Well I'm okay to go," I say harshly.

"We should go, guys," Max said.

I got up more slowly this time and walked to my bathroom. I ignored them all and locked the door behind me. I moved quickly to the toilet and hovered over it. I threw up all of today's lunch and breakfast. Okay... So I'm not okay.

Once I was done I washed up a bit and headed out of the bathroom to see questioning stares.

"Emma I'm taking you to the doctor. You are weak, feverish, your puking, and now trembling." Jackson says.

"You can't argue with Jay Em's. Let's go." She says walking out of the room.

"Oh no, you're staying with Uncle Sam and Aunt Mal. " I say. Following her. " If I'm sick you're not catching whatever I have.

"What about Jacks" she points out.

"He's an adult who can't catch whatever I have because he got his shots," I say smugly.

"Whatever" she mumbles grabbing her stuff for a stay with our aunt.

I go back to my room to see people still in it. "We're leaving. You don't have to stay. I'm going to the doctor's."

"Okay get well soon," Lucy and Lilly said walking out. The boys right behind them.

Once I see that they are all gone. I turn back to Jackson. " Are we really going to the doctors? We both know what happened."

"No, we're not going but like I said before take the medicine or I will force feed them to you," he said with a pointed look. I rolled my eyes and mumbled a 'fine'. "do you remember anything that happened before you blacked out?"

"snake," was all I said curtly. He didn't question me any further and nodded.

"Get some rest, dinner will be ready in a little. We will wake you up," he said walking out of my room.

I closed my eyes and took deep breaths in. I got up from my bed and took a seat at the corner of my room at my desk. I opened the first drawer and took out a picture. In that picture, I see a happy couple. soulmates.

*play song*

I sing as I look at the picture.

My eyes began to up with tears at the thought of that night. The thought of those days. That month, that year, those memories. By the end of the song, I had a tear-stained face. Music is how I let go of my emotions. Music is a projector to my emotions.

"I'm okay, I'm okay, I'm okay, I'm okay" I repeated until I got tired and laid my head on the desk and let the darkness consume me.
