Emma's POV
"Emma. Emma. Emmmmmmaaaaa. Wake up. " Alexandra says shaking me. "It's time to go to school."
"I'll ditch today. Tell Jackson to take you to school." I mumble into my pillow.
"He has to go to college today now get your lazy ass up. You know they wouldn't like to see you ditch because of laziness." She said knowingly. She knows my weaknesses.
"Fine. I'm upppp" I say dragging out the 'p'.
She leaves me to change. I grab a towel and head to the shower. Getting out the shower I do what I need to do then head to my room to change.
I grab some black ripped skinny jeans and a black tank top with a red rose in the center. I grabbed my favorite black leather jacket and black bandana. I fixed my hair and grabbed my boots. As I ran downstairs I remembered it was Saturday. "ALEXANDRA WHERE ARE YOU"
She comes out of the kitchen and gives me a sheepish smile. "So... Hey Emma what you doing awake? You know its Saturday you could have just slept in..." I give her a pointed look and she gives up. " It wasn't my idea. Lucy and Lilly wanted to hang out with you and made me get you ready." She said walking away.
Just then the front door opens. Making a dramatic arrival for Lilly and Lucy. Nilla runs up to them. She stays back and slowly approaches them. The girls aww at her, until she barks at them. Then they scream.
" Yo, chill she just doesn't know you. Come on Nilla. These are my friends." She approaches them observes and sniffs then licks them and walks away.
"What just happened? That was the most awkward meeting ever. How come we didn't notice you had a dog before?" Lucy asks. I just shrug.
"So why did I have to wake up so early on a Saturday morning? " I ask yawning.
"Because we're going to the mall!" Lilly exclaims. The mall! YAY! note the sarcasm.
"So get your lazy ass in the car," Lucy says sternly, knowing I will do anything to get me out of a trip to the mall.
The car ride included us catching up and fooling around with the radio.
"So what are the guys doing? Or better yet what did you tell them to get alone? " I said knowing the guys for being overprotective and possessive.
" That we went to my aunt's house for the weekend. You know the usual like" they explain as we arrive at the mall.
Inside the mall, I look around and see if it is as huge as it used to be. Yep. That means as much pain as I was when I was younger and had to walk throughout the mall with my friends.
Shopping for an hour we were going to get some food when someone called out to the girls. We turned around to see the boys and Brittany. Lucy is the closest to me hip bumped me into the nearest store. I legit fell in. On my face. I hid behind a manikin waiting for the coast to be clear. I clearly wasn't going to stand there like an idiot all day so I went deeper into the store.
After a good half hour, I bought Jackson a new hoodie, shoes, and some sunglasses. Alexandra, I bought some clothes and sunglasses. And I just bought some jacket, boots, and sunglasses.
I walked to a coffee shop that looks very familiar. I sit on one of its stools and wait to be attended while playing on my phone. When I feel someone in front of me I look up and my eyes widen.
"Oh my god," I gasp getting up and tackling Tom.
"What are you doing here? I thought you left forever. Not that I don't want you back but I thought you weren't coming back." he rambled on and on.
"It's cool. But I'm not back to stay. I'm here only for a couple of years then I gotta go again. " I say.
"How are you? Why did you come to the mall you hate the mall?" he asks.
"I'm good but if you don't get back to work that lady over there that has been glaring at you will fire you," I say chuckling a little at his look of horror when he turns around.
"So usual," he says more serious now.
"Yep and we will talk at your break it starts in 20 minutes still right?"
"yeah Ill be back in 5"
You might be a little confused at this point. Tom is my neighbor that has seen through most of the thing that I have been through. He was basically my older brother through my childhood. He and the guys get along. They aren't close but they are friends, I guess, I haven't been with them for 2 years.
Not a minute after he left did I get a text from Lilly.
Lilly: The guys are taking us to the movies I'm so, so, so, sorry. Jake took our car. R u ok with it?
Me: Yeah I'm totally fine. I mean it's not like I have to walk like 5 miles home. Or anything like that. Other than great cardio being done I'm great. Well, gotta go. I have to carry bags of shopping goods home. When I can be mugged you know the normal.
Well, I'm great Toms shift doesn't end until in like 4 hours. Jackson was going to this college tour thingy and Alex is at a friends house, she can't even drive! So walking it is for me. Someone texts me but I ignore it and turn off my phone. Thank god I didn't buy a lot of stuff.
Tom brings me my smoothie and a dozen cookies. Yep, a dozen! I'm a growing girl, a girl gotta eat.
