Starfox: Temple of Tiklah

The trees were green and seemed as tall as the sky. The grass was lush and fertile, filled with calm insects and plant-life. Trekking through this lush jungle with vines draping down and leaves scattered across the soil was a blue vixen and a pink feline.

" I appreciate you coming with me on this adventure Katt," The blue vixen said to her feline friend.

" I don't mind going through the jungle Krystal, beats the heat back home," Katt responded with her hands clasped together behind her head.

" I thought you would have brought something a little warmer, considering the drastic change from hot to cool. But a red midriff vest with tan khakis and sandals seem to fit you nicely."

" It's no different from what I wear back home or in my ship, but I don't think that tribal two-piece is necessary."

" Last time I was on Sauria this was what I wore, and when I still lived on Cerina these were my regular clothes."

Katt notice sorrow in Krystal's eyes as she mentioned her home planet.

" Just remember, Fox and Falco beat Andross and avenged your home and its people. I'm sure they are happy now." Katt reassured.

" Your right, and I'm grateful for everything you and Star Fox have done for me." Krystal replied.

" Since you've been on Sauria before, I'm guessing that's why that dino king asked you to come?"

" Yes, the Dinosaur King thought it would be good to have me explore the temple that is around here."

" Cause telepathy right?"

" Exactly, and I can speak Saurian fluently where as the rest of the team can't."

" So why can't they explore it?"

" The entrance is small, so they can't fit."

" Seriously?"

" That, and they believe it may have something to do with Cerina as records have shown that some of my ancestors explored some of this planet. Hence the temple that is supposedly around here."

" They could have been more precise with their directions. ' Its deep within the Jungle near Cape Claw. You can't miss it.' You can't really see any landmarks with all these trees."

" Regardless, I'm curious to see what my people left here."

" Maybe there'll be a relic or something you can bring back? Maybe I'll be able to get something out of this too if I could see anything that looks important?"

As if on cue, the trees seemed to part as the sun's beamed shine bright upon the two revealing a large stone temple covered in moss and vines. Water flowed down from the structure through stone seams into a small pond filled with tiny fish. Flora and passive animals covered the landscape as Krystal and Katt were left in awe.

" This looks to be it." Krystal said walking toward the temple.

" Never been here before so I hope so." Katt responded following her vixen friend.

Krystal and Katt climbed the stone stairway to find a giant stone door with a semi-large crack in the middle of it. The door was decorated with words and pictures of an alien language.

" Huh, any idea what that says?" Katt asked.

"...It is in Cerinian, so this proves that we were here," Krystal replied "... It talks about that this place is a sanctuary in favor to one of the gods of Cerina, the Goddess of Joy Tiklah."
