"Hi can I get an iced almond milk latte? And if you could kind of hurry it up, I'm in a rush."

The lady behind the counter smiled as she wrote down my order quickly. I paid and walked to the left, waiting for my drink.

The coffee shop was only down the street from the apartment but I knew Abel would make a big deal if I took to long.

I had an oversized sweater on with the hood covering my face, doing my best to hide the scratches and cuts on my face from 2 nights ago. And the sunglasses I had weren't really helping hide the bruise I had close to my eye.

The night those guys broke into the apartment with me and Jade inside was only 2 nights ago and I hadn't gotten much sleep since then. We all agreed not to be apart as often as we can, to try to stay together so nothing would happen. But all that time being in the apartment with no sleep, constantly worrying about what to do was really starting to get to me.

So the little walk across the street to get coffee alone was much needed for me.

The lady walked over and handed me my coffee, I thanked her before quickly standing up and making my way back down the street.

Toronto seemed oddly busy. The street filled with busy people with places to go. It was nice being out, it reminded me of New York.

I silently sipped on my coffee as I made my way up the elevator to the top floor.

It only took one knock on the door before the door flew open and I was rushed inside.

"What took you so long?" Abel asked as he shut the door behind me locking it.

"I wasn't that long, I came right back after I got my coffee." I saw Bella and Jade sitting in the couch in the living room talking, so I made my way to the kitchen, Abel following behind me.

"I could've gone with you Val."

I turned to Abel as I set my coffee down on the counter.

"I know, I just needed a minute alone. It's been intense these past two days." I said walking up to him and wrapping my arms around his waist.

"I know, I'm sorry." He said wrapping his arm around my shoulder and rested his chin on top of my head.

"We need to figure out what we're going to do." I said quietly.

"We'll discuss that later. Don't worry right now."

"We've been putting it off for to long." I said moving away, grabbing my coffee and walking to the living room.

Abel followed behind me as I sat down on the couch next to Bella.

Bella turned to me and offered me a small smile which I tried to return.
