Flashback

The heels I had on were not helping as I quickly walked down the streets of Toronto. The air was chilling as I pulled my coat around me tighter.

It was around 2 in the morning and I just left Chrissy birthday party which Abel was supposed to give me a ride home from but he oddly went missing.

He had ignored 37 calls from me and didn't respond to any text messages.

Part of me was worrying something had happened, the other part of me didn't really care.

I turned the corner where my apartment was at. I opened the door to the front and hit the elevator button to the 14th floor.

I checked my phone to see if there was anything from Abel but there wasn't.

I made my way to the door to my apartment and stuck my key in to unlock it.

That's when I noticed it was already unlocked.

I slowly opened the door, think someone might have broke into my apartment.

I made my way into the apartment looking around. Everything seemed fine, nothing was missing.

I set my bag down and took my coat off. My lace black crop top went to my belly button and I had dark jeans on, with black lace up heels.

I started walking up the stairs, my heels clicking against the tile floor.

I froze when I heard giggling.

'What the hell?'

'Is that a girl?'

'I swear to god if Abel is'

My thought was cut off as I slammed my bedroom door open. I looked and saw the thing that made me so angry.

I couldn't control how angry I was.

Abel looked at me shocked and scared. Even the girl was scared.

I walked over to the side of my bed she was on. Slowly and steady. I grabbed her blonde hair and walked her over to the door.

"Get the hell out of my apartment and stay out." I told her and threw her into the wall outside of my front door.

I had locked the door and turned around. Abel was standing there and staring at me.

"Valerie.. listen I didn't mea-"

"Shut the hell up!" I cut him off. "I don't care, get your things and get the hell out of here. We're done." I said while walking to the kitchen to get a glass of something, anything.

"Baby listen please. I didn't know what I was doing, I was drunk." Abel said trying to grab my face and pull me into him.

I pushed him away angrily.

"Get the fuck out of here Abel! I want nothing to do with you anymore! This was all a huge waste of my time! I could be doing so much better somewhere else!" I yelled while walking to the front door to get my bag and my coat.

I turned around to face him.

"I never loved you but it's okay because you never loved me either."

"That's a lie and you know it Val, please stay." he tried grabbing my arm.

"Keep this apartment, you can have it all. I'm done with Toronto, I'm leaving." I said while grabbing the door and walking out.

I walked out of the apartment complex, leaving Abel inside. I headed the same way to Chrissy's place. The corner I turned to get to my place seemed scarier when I turned to go the opposite direction.

"Valerie?"

I turned around to see someone I did not feel like seeing right about now.

I narrowed my eyes. "Cash."

My bad feeling only got worse.
