Chapter Five

As you made your way to the dining room, a thought crossed your mind. 'Why did Sebastian comfort me?'

"______, are you OK? You are really quiet," Sebastian said to you when you reached the door that led to the dinning room.

"Yeah, just confused is all," you said to the butler. You really hoped that he wouldn't ask any more questions.

"Why are you confused?" Sebastian asked. You could hear in his voice that he was concerned.

"Sebastian, why did you comfort me this morning?" you asked him. You just wanted to get this out of the way.

You saw in his eyes that the question surprised him. "Why do you ask?"

"Well, you just met me yesterday. Then you gave me a hug like I have been tour friend forever," you explained.

"I did what I did because I don't like it when you are upset," he told you as he opened the door. When he did so, the conversation had to be dropped.

"My Lord, I have brought you ______. She will be joining you for lunch so you two can become acquainted," Sebastian said to the only person who was sitting at the table.

"Ah, ______, I am glad that I finally get to meet you," he said as Sebastian led you to your seat at the table.

"It is a pleasure to meet you Lord Phantomhive. I have heard so much about you from May-Rin," you said as Sebastian brought both of you lunch.

When you saw how full your plate was, your jaw dropped. "Is...is all of this for me?" you asked Ciel in disbelief.

Ciel saw the look on your face and was automatically curious. "What is it, ______?" he asked you.

Your gazed dropped to your lap in embarrassment when he asked you that. "Well...uh...I, uh...have never had this much food during one meal in a long time. I have been fed like one or two pieces to meat for lunch or dinner for the past two years," you explained to the young earl.

After you finished your explanation, tears started to form in your eyes. When you noticed how wet your eyes were, you wiped them away. "I am sorry, Lord Phantomhive. It is just that thinking about that brought back many painful memories from the past couple of years," you told, not only Ciel, but Sebastian too.

"Are you OK, ______?" Sebastian asked you.

You shook your head "no" as tears began to spill out of your eyes.

"Sebastian, take her to May-Rin," Ciel said as he watched the scene in front of him.
