Chapter Sixteen

You awoke from that nightmare with a scream. You continued to scream until you were sure that you weren't back that dreadful Trancy manor.

Once you calmed down, you heard loud foot steps outside your door and quickly approaching. You already knew that the two people that were coming were Sebastian and May-Rin.

Two seconds later Sebastian and your sister came running into your room. "What happened, ______?" they both asked in unison.

"I had a nightmare. No big deal," you told them. In truth, your nightmare scared you half to death.

"I don't think it was no big deal, ______. That was one pretty loud scream. I am surprised everyone else slept through it," May-Rin said to you.

"Ok, the truth is that...it scared me half to death," you said as you ran up to Sebastian and cried into his chest.

"Well, I will let Sebastian take care of it," May-Rin said, to no one in particular, and left the room.

"Now, ______, can you tell me what your dream was about?" Sebastian asked you.

You nodded against his chest and pulled him over to the bed. As you both sat down, you began to tell him what happened in your dream. "I was running away from Claude, trying to get back here. Eventually, Claude was able to get in front of me and grabbed my wrists to try to get me to go back to the Trancy manor. I screamed at him and eventually tried calling for you, hoping that you would come to save me. Claude laughed at my actions and when I asked him what was so funny, he said that he already...k-killed y-you," you said as you began to cry even more. "I was scared that you were gone forever, Sebastian."

Sebastain then pulled you closer to him so you could cry into his chest. "Shh, it is ok, I am right here, I am not going any where, ______," he said to you as he stroked your hair.

"Don't you ever leave me, Sebastian," you finally said after you calmed down.

"______, I don't mean to sound like I don't want to be with you forever, but the young master and I will be going to a ball tomorrow. You must stay here while we go," Sebastian said to you as he looked at your face.

You looked at him in disbelief. "Why are you leaving here?" you asked the man sitting beside you.

"Like I told you, the young master and I are going to a ball. You need to stay here," he said once again.

"Why can't I come with you?" you asked, obviously mad.

"We are going to a ball at the Trancy's and I don't want you to go back there again," he said to you in a voice that showed worry.

"I don't care, I am not letting you go there and leave me here. I know I will be safe if I am with you," you told the man to your right.

"Why do you insist on coming even though we are going back to the place where you have been abused?" Sebastian askes you, confused.

"I know that as long as you are by my side, nothing will happen to me," you said right before you pulled him down for a kiss.

"Alright, I will let you come with us. You just need a costume," Sebastian said to you as he began to head to the door.

"Wait," you said to stop the man from leaving you by yourself.

"What is it?" he asked you.

"I want you to stay with me to make sure I don't have any nightmares," you said to him.

When he turned away from the door and looked at you, he nodded his head and climbed into the bed with you. You were about to fall asleep when you heard those lovely words, "I love you, ______."

You smiled just as you fell into a deep sleep.
