Chapter 14

//so I had a pretty bad fever for like three days, I'm doing batter now but that was the reason I wasn't able to update sorry

          Keith stopped when Lance stopped "Lance? Is everything ok?" He stood in front of him, placing a hand to his cheek "whats wrong, are you ok?" Lance blushed a bit at his touch, "I'm fine.. Just... Its been a while since I've been someone's date, even to something as trivial as this means a lot to me" Keith nodded at that, he smiled, caressing Lances cheek gently before pressing a kiss to the other one "it'll be ok, I'm not too good at social gatherings, but we'll be fine since were together" Lance nodded and smiled walking in with Keith. He hated to let his anxiety get the best of him but he couldn't help it. Keith held tight onto Lances hand, he handed the door person their tickets and walked in. He saw a photo area and frowned a bit, knowing what would happen if he tried to get a photo taken..

          Lance looked at the photo booth and parked up bur looked to Keith. "Yknow, I have a pretty artsy friend who could maybe do our portrait? Since you probably won't show up in a photo.. He's more like a friend of my brother, but were pretty close too. If you'd want that? And I can use some magic to copy it so we can both have one!" Keith heard what Lance said and smiled, he liked the sound of that "Alright, let's do that" He held onto Lances hand tighter, walking further into the dance with him. He saw Mr. Shirogane and waved at him with a smile before continuing on. Lance smiled, "So dance first or drinks? I guess since we already ate we won't need those for a while.."

"I'd honestly like a drink, I just hope they have plasma" He walked into the drink area and looked to see what they had, thankfully they had a good amount of plasma but the price was hefty. He looked to see how much money he had, only enough for one...dammit.. Lance took some money from his wallet and gave it to Keith, "They're pretty pricey but make sure you get enough alright?" He felt a little better knowing he could at least pay for this. Keith shook his head, not wanting to accept his money "No, that's your money, don't use it on me" He put his money away and took Lances hand, walking out of the drink area. He hated this school all that much more..

"But I want to pay for you. I feel like I owe you after all you've paid for me when we go out. And I'd hate for you to get thirsty if I can pay." He decoded to drop it for now.. "Let's dance then?" Keith let out a frustrated huff before nodding "Yeah, I guess" He let go of Lances hand and continued on, he needed to get out of here and calm down. He headed back towards the outside area, not wanting Lance to see him with how he was about to be. Lance noticed Keith getting upset and followed him outside, "Hey, what's wrong? Are you ok- Did.. Did something happen?" He hoped he didn't do anything wrong.

          Keith looked back at Lance, his eyes pure red, his fangs barred. There was nothing but pure anger and hatred in his expression. It then only took him a second to dash out into the woods, out of sight within seconds with scratches appearing on the trees as he went. Lance took a deep breath. He went back in paying for the plasma and sprinting into the woods. He was going to help weather Keith anted it or not. "Keith-!" Lance called out. Even if he was bitten, he didn't care.. "Don't fucking follow me!!!" He shouted out, he knew now that he had ruined the night, Lance would probably never forgive him. He could never stop his rages though. He raged for a good 20 minutes, scratching trees, biting and killing small animals, he was out of control. Soon though he calmed down, his face, hands and clothes covered in blood. He didn't want Lance to see him, he didn't want him to see him as a monster that he was. He climbed high into a tree and hid from him.

          Lance saw Keith climb. He could easily reach him.. But he knew that wasn't how this would be solved. "Keith listen." Lance shouted to him, "I'm not scared. I k ow its hard sometimes to control the things that are in your blood, it's who you are and I don't care. No matter how enraged you get, or how many small animals you have to take. You're still Keith, and we can work this out. You can be taught to not give in so easily. I'm here for you, I love you Keith. Please don't act like you need to shut me out" Keith had tears streaming down his cheeks "I...I don't want you to see me like this...I know you hate me now and probably want to break up with me...your just saying these things..just...just leave me to be the lone vampire that I am. I've ruined the dance for you...just..." He started bawling at this point "I HATE EVERYTHING!!!"
