Chapter 16

          Keith was dead asleep, the sex exhausted him. He turned onto his other side and continued to sleep. Lance left a note saying he was on the roof, and if he wasn't there he'd be back soon. He sat up there and started sketching the forest for the billionth time, it was just calming to him. Keith woke up about an hour later, he looked around and didn't see Lance. He saw the note and put his pants on, heading up to the roof. Lance hummed quietly to himself as he drew, "Mama said there'd be boys like you~ Tearing my heart in two~" Keith climbed up to the roof "Lance, hey, are you feeling ok?" He went over and sat down next to him. Lance gave a small nod and set his sketch book down, "Um yeah.. Sorry I couldn't really sleep, my stupid brain loves to make me worry over nothing" Keith raised an eyebrow at that, wrapping an arm around him "do you wanna talk about it? I'm here to listen" 

          He pulled Lance close, rubbing his back gently. Lance leaned against him, "There isn't too much to really talk about.. I was so nervous last night before the dance, I couldn't stop thinking about Lotor and what he might do if he saw me there, I know he wants me dead.. And then we... It was like nothing I've ever done, not that I have much experience but.. When I was with him- It was different, a bad different. I didn't know what to think, for a long time I just though what we had done was normal but that's not the case now.."

          Keith frowned at that, he held Lance closer and tighter, pressing a kiss to his forehead. "Its all ok, I'll make sure he never hurts you again. Your with me now, nothing bad will happen" Lance nodded a little and hugged Keith tightly, "I know.. I trust you, its just odd trying to get use to someone that so much.. Nicer" He leaned up and kissed Keith's cheek. "So its your birthday now right?" Keith nodded at that "I understand, ill be patient and wait for you. We can take our times with things" he said with a smile. He heard Lances question "yeah, its my birthday now" Lance smiled and kisses him gently, "When were alone I feel so much safer.. Now that its your special day why don't we do something special??" Keith nodded at that "I'm not really sure what to do in all honesty, as long as I'm with you though it'll be fine" he smiled "I'm really glad you feel safe with me though"

          Lance smiled, "Well he could go out, or stay in. And if we stay in there's a few options. We could watch a movie, or cuddle and nap or birthday sex even though we kind of did that last night... Or video games and I can try and cook.." Keith chuckled at the mention of birthday sex. He pressed a kiss to his forehead "all those are good ideas babe" he stood up and held a hand out to Lance to help him up "let's just stay in for now" Lance nodded and smiled at the kiss, "Alright. I'll make some tea then, do you want some or?"

"Ill try some yeah" he climbed down from the roof and helped Lance down, going into his house and closing the door behind them. Lance smiled and started to make tea. "Are you sore at all? I have some things for pain if you need it" Keith shook his head "no, I'm good. You took really good care last night" He said with a smile. Lance nodded and smiled, "I'm glad. I've read a lot about it so I was hoping I'd do good. He sat down with his cup, handing the other to Keith. "It might be a little hot.." Keith took his cup, blowing on the liquid a little before taking a sip "its really good!!" Lance smiled, "I'm glad you like it. Its chamomile and hibiscus. Its weird that the hibiscus flower is really sweet and south but when its dry and ground up it really salty"

"Ohhh ok" he took a few more sips before setting his cup down, his arm reaching over and wrapping around Lances shoulders. Lance set his cup down soon after and wrapped an arm around Keith's waist, "Happy birthday babe.. I wish I new what to get you"
