Here We Go Again - Klance Highschool+AU

Chapter 2

          Lance was out on the ground sneaking around looking for things, mainly to eat. He liked to stock up on natural berries and mushrooms and things that were easy to find where he lived. He tinted he color of his skin to match the darkness so animals wouldn't be able to spot him as he went. He couldn't shake his paranoid feeling though.. Keith walked slowly, his true looks only came out at night, he was more of a man at night. His eyes shined brighter and he was more muscular. He heard foot steps and stopped, looking closely. He saw the figure was a human and approached slowly. Lance hadn't noticed anyone or anything. He put his hand to a tree and looked behind him trying to see where in the woods he was exactly. He looked down and tried to find any plants he might be familiar with.. But no such luck. Maybe he should just go home? Keith walked closer to the figure "hello? Who's there?" He reached his hand out to try and touch the figure to find out who or what it was. Lance flinched at the sudden noise and backed up thinking it was a human at first, "Its.. Its no one, I was taking a late night walk. But I should be heading back to my house" He bit his lip hoping the stranger bought it, he'd hate to be found out by a human.. He consented and used some of Hus power to make himself look more attractive, "Sorry if I scared you, I heard these parts are actually pretty dangerous at night y'know, you sure you're safe walking all alone?"

          Keith felt a bit disappointed when he heard lance, he walked more into his view so he could see him "Its me, Keith, I was just out here for a hunt. My powers, abilities and looks are better at night." Lance let out a relieved sigh and let his colors return, "Same here. Glad it was just you, people don't usually come by this way so I was a bit worried.. I'm not really a fighter, but I know you kind of hate me so I guess I'll just leave you to it.. Pretend like I don't exist and all that." He turned to leave and let out a small sigh, he didn't know what to do, he really wanted to be friends with Keith.. But Keith just didn't like him.. Keith let out a sigh, he reached out and took a hold of Lances hand "Hey I'm- I'm sorry, I just.. I put my guard way up, because.. My parents abandoned me, so I have a hard time letting people in. I'm sorry, I don't hate you, I'm just really stubborn.." Lance froze when he felt Keith's hand, he blushed a bit and turned around happy to be in the dark where Keith probably couldn't see it. "It.. It's ok Keith, I know a lot of people get annoyed with me- I wouldn't hold it against you if you didn't like me. I'm sorry about you're parents, they don't know what they're missing. But I didn't plan to give up on being your friend. I'm still going to find a way to hang around you till it sticks." He smiled a little, "My place isn't too far from here, I'm not sure how could you are but I'm starting to freeze heheh, you're welcome to come with me." He was going to be up for a long while, elfs only need like and hour or less to feel like it's a full nights sleep.  

          Keith smiled at that "Ill come with you, it gets a bit lonely at the orphanage since I'm the only mythical creature there. No one there knows I'm a vampire" he held lances hand a bit tighter, walking with him to his place. Lance smiled a bit keeping a gentle hold on Keith's hand as they walked back, it didn't take long till they arrived. The trees were amazingly high in these woods, Lance had a tree-house that was huge.. More then enough for just one person. "You may want to hold on, I don't feel like taking my time getting up there so I'm just gonna-" His plan was to, not really fly, but jump and float a bit. Making it seem like flying.Keith nodded, he held tight onto Lances hand, waiting for him to lead them up to his house "its really nice in here, I love the outdoors, inside is way too stuffy and suffocating" Lance nodded, he wrapped and arms around Keith's waist, "This is just so I don't drop you, I don't normally bring people with me." He bend down a little and practically shot himself up. he landed on his balcony and took his arms from Keith's waist, "Tada~" He chuckled.
