"Excuse me sir but it's closing time" The waitress sympathetically looked at me.
"Oh uh s-sorry" I awkwardly laughed and put on my jacket. I threw my hat on and waved goodbye as she started wiping down tables.
3 hours .. I've been waiting and she hasn't even sent a text apologizing or explaining herself smh
My friends have been setting me up on blind dates ever since my breakup with Chung Ha , but I honestly don't think dating is my kind of scene. I do have my moments though where I miss waking up to someone's texts and goodnight kisses but other than that I'm pretty fine.

The first girl they set me up with was a total weirdo, like she was trying to see her ex in me. Always comparing me to him.
Second girl didn't really interest me at all. More like a friend thing
And well the third, we hit it off great on our first date and so we decided to meet up again for a 2nd but well... she stood me up
So here I am walking to the bus stop at night. from a distance I could see a small figure in a black windbreaker that was for the bus. I quietly sat down. The streets were empty, dimly lit by the lights above.
I checked the time 11:47
I sighed and looked around, my curious eyes landing on the person next to me. I couldn't really define the persons face but I could see curls poking out from their hood.
"It's rude to stare"
My eyes slightly widened, "I- I didn't mean to I just ... sorry"
"All good"
The person laughed and brushed it off. Silence began to fall on us again before she spoke up "Bad night?"
Memories of waiting at the restaurant for 3 hours while getting looked at ran through my mind " yeah" I sighed
"Same" She swung her legs back and forth "what happened" her voice filled with curiosity
"I- uh got stood up" I checked my watch trying to distract myself from how I lame I sounded
"Damn that sucks" She said nonchalant
"Well why is your night going bad" I narrowed my eyes, she didn't have to say it like that
"I missed my bus so that means I missed my favorite show" she replied and I just nodded. Checking my watch for the 3rd time tonight, pls get me out of here
A few minutes pass and I felt my pocket deepen. IS THIS BITCH REALLY TRYING TO ROB ME AFTER I TOLD HER MY SOB STORY. I quickly turned and grabbed her hand, catching a glimpse of her face.
The street light reflected off her brown skin, giving her this honey glow and her hair was all over the place but she somehow made it work and those eyes..man
We stared at each other for another good minute and the she backed up. "S-sorry..I just thought you would want some candy" I was still holding her wrist so I quickly let go,her warm touch leaving my fingertips.
She opened her palm and revealed a caramel candy. I took it and popped it in my mouth, I smiled "thank you"
"There's the smile" she giggled
"Do you always keep candy in your pocket?" I raised an eyebrows, sounds sketchy
"Yea, I like making people smile because well I'm pretty amazing" she smiled and began unwrapping a candy of her own
