Chapter 4

Black & White - Todrick Hall

Keith's POV
With both Lance and Caspian asleep I get up and walk out of Blue and down the almost foreign hallways. They wouldn't feel so foreign if the other Paladins didn't treat us like strange monsters.

I started walking towards the kitchen to get food for Beautiful Blue and Caspian and I stop at the door when I hear talking from inside.

"-he killed Shiro!" That was definitely Allura. She sounded furious at the fact I killed him, does she even remember me telling them about what he did?!

Instead of walking in to get the food, I stay and listen in to their conversation. I am very glad that I have enhanced hear because it means that I won't miss a single word.

"True true. But remember what Keith said he did to Lance." Hunk spoke with an unusual sense of confidence. Thank goodness someone remembered.

"It doesn't matter, that wasn't Shiro." Pidge is right, it was exactly Shiro. "He killed an innocent soldier that was being controlled, he committed blind murder!"

My fists clenched tight. 'innocence soldier?!' What a joke! He may not have consciously done anything to Lance but doesn't mean he is innocent. He has done many horrible things, to others and myself.

"Pidge is right. He thinks that because he is Galra he can do what ever he wants! And I assure you that Lance will be the same. We cannot allow them to destroy everything!"

That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Allura is such a racist twat! Just because she lost her people to the Galra Empire she thinks that everyone remotely Galra is bad.

She may have lost her family to the Galra but I never knew mine. I don't know what family feels like, now that I have a chance to discover it's wonder and she wants to take it away from me!

I back away from the door and start to storm down the hallway towards my bedroom. No way am I going to let them ruin the little family Lance and I have created!

The door to my bedroom opens and I waste no time walking over to my wardrobe and grabbing out all of my clothes and knives.

I pack them into a small bag that was lying on the ground. After I'm done there, I go into the bathroom and take my toothbrush and some toothpaste.

I chuck them into the bag, zip it up and stomp out of the room and down towards Lance's castle room.

Allura's POV
"-what do you suppose we do?" Pidge may be good with a computer but she has no clue what to do when it comes to punishment.

I can't have Galra running around the castle and flying the lions, what kind of message would that send to the planets that we free.

That we harbour the very demons that destroyed their worlds.

I could care less that they were once people we trusted and loved. I can not love a killing monster.

"Well we simply cannot have them on the team anymore, I don't even think they should be on the castle." I made my point blunt to show that I will not negotiate.

"But they are our friends..." Hunk is so naive. Ha, he does not see them for what they are, they might have once been our friends but not anymore.

"Hunk, honey. They are Galra now, it is only a matter of time before they turn on us; they may have already." They sooner we agree to get them out, the sooner Voltron will remain pure.

"Yeah, I hate to say it but I think the universe would be a lot safer without a group of Galra apart of Voltron." Thank you! Shiro must have seen this coming, that is why he was so harsh on Lance.

Hunk anxiously fiddled with his fingers, no doubt going over everything that has happened recently. He lowered his he slightly and then gave his final decision.

"...Ok."

Keith's POV
I hadn't spent much time in Lance's room because there was practically nothing in there.

The only thing that I could find that was worth taking was a little plastic snow globe with the ocean in it.

With everything packed I head back to Blue. And of course I have to pass the kitchen again....great.

As I am walking pass I can't help but to listen in. I don't stop walking but I don't have to because I heard them all loud and clear.

They are planning to throw both me and my boyfriend off the ship. Well you know what, they can't throw us out if we're not even here!

Good thing that I was already packing for us to leave. I had realised that if I was going to get Beautiful Blue better, I was going to have to leave Voltron. Them not wanting us just makes the goodbye easier.

I continue down the halls until I reach the hanger of Blue, the room opens up to reveal the majestic Lion and our means of escape.

She lowers her head and lets me in. I stride in with confidence and determination, there is only one thing that have on my mind and that is to leave this corrupt place.

I bump the bags down beside the bed and turn to the control panel. Taking my place in the pilot seat, I start the engine up and feel Blue's energy coursing through me.

With one final glance at my love and our child Blue takes off into the abyss of space.

"Take us somewhere safe, take us to our future."
