Time started flying after the incident with Inari. Inari followed me everywhere, still determined to learn from me. Like promised, I started taking Rokura to parks and sometimes the candy store.
I also started studying with Ratio to control my demon powers. I was good at controling and using the demons power but the flames were my only problem. Everyday Ratio made me try to light two candles out of three. The candles were lined up in three's, and I had to light the two on the ends. The first couple weeks, I ended up obliterating the candles. Eventually I managed to only obliterate the two on the ends. After weeks and months, I managed to light the two on the ends four out of five times.

"Level setting hard completed."
I walked out of the cage, completely unharmed. I wiped the sweat off my forehead, smiling at my triumph.
"How are you so fast? And you just keep getting faster." Izumi said.
"I do? I didn't notice it." I said, I was completely serious I didn't notice it.
"Misaki, come on!" Ratio yelled from the door.
"I guess it's time for your 'special' training. What do you do in your training anyway?" Harumi asked.
"Umm....I really gotta go. I'll see you guys back at the dorm." I said, running off.
*****
"You're getting better." Ratio commented.
"Of course I am, I've been doing this for weeks. I'm finally getting the hang of lighting both of them at the same time." I said.
"Have you noticed how boring it's gotten with out something crazy happening every few minutes?" Ratio asked.
"Yep. I'm going to regret this but I wish something would happen." I answered.
"So, what's going on with you and Rin?" Ratio asked with a smirk.
"What?!" I asked.
Startled by his question, all three candles suddenly blazed to life. I guess I gotta watch out about that.
"I've noticed Rin hanging around you more. Is anything going on?" Ratio asked.
"As if."
"But you want something to happen, am I right?" Ratio smirked.
"Shut it!" I snapped at him.
Purple flames suddenly sparked around Ratio, causing him to skitter back.
"Why you! That was on purpose, wasn't it?" he growled at me.
I smirked in reply. Ratio lept at me out of anger. I rolled onto my back and kicked upwards. I saw Ratio fly over me as my feet made contact. He landed hard on his back, all the breath in his lungs rushing out. Still laying on the floor, I look back at him.
"I think I hit you too hard." I said.
"It's fine, I got a good view for a second." Ratio said, a mischievous smile on his face.
"What do you-? You bastard! Don't you know looking up skirts is wrong?!" I yelled at him.
"Ow! Owie! Stop hitting me! OW!"
*****
"Why is Ratio covered in bruises?" Rin asked.
"Because he's an ass. Now, I'm hungry." I said.
I grabbed a quick snack before heading to my room to study.
"Harumi, think fast." I said tossing an apple at her.
"Why do you always do that?" she asked, catching it.
"Hey, I'm helping you out here. Whatever. Do you need any help studying?" I asked.
I leaned over her desk to see what she was working on. She leaned away from me, her face red.
"N-no, I'm fine." she mumbled.
"Really? You used to ask me for help all the time. Did I do something wrong?" I questioned.
"No! It's just that thanks to you I understand this stuff." Harumi said.
"Oh, well that's great." I said.
"Where's Rokura?" Harumi asked.
I pointed to my bed, where a sleepy Rokura was curled up. Even though Rokura looked mostly human, he still acted like a kitten. He would chase after ribbons, little red dots, and toy mice. He would do anything for fish or candy. And most of all, he loved to curl up in my lap, and strangely Rin's.
"He really is cute." Harumi commented.

"I have a bad feeling about today." Rin said, as I walked into the dining hall for breakfast.
"You feel it too?" Ratio asked.
"I feel it. It's like the air is heavier and darker than usual. But, it almost makes me feel full of energy." I said.
"Then it's definitely demonic." Rin said unhappily.
Demonic means dangerous here. Expecially here, as the school is protected from demonic forces. Whatever it was, it was powerful. And it was probably coming for me. I was so horribly accurate.
Most of the day was normal, but the dark feeling never left. I made my way to Rin's second class, when the feeling started growing. The others in the class finally started taking notice of it.
"Ugh, it feels like I'm being weighed down." Izumi said.
"Rin, this feeling is getting worse, like it's taken a form and is coming this way. 'It' is starting to get excited." I said.
The 'It', was trying to fight for control. It want me to run towards the dark energy. The door suddenly burst open, a tall man walking through it. Dark energy surrounded him. He was the source of all the dark energy.
"Who are you?" I asked him.
"Oh how sad, my own daughter doesn't recognize me."
