Hey guys this is gonna be a really short chapter. Read on my fellow readers.
Katie's POV
When I the headlights get way too close for comfort, I quickly swerve the car to the left, barely missing the car that is now honking furiously at me. I grumble to myself the entire ride back to school. This is definitely not my day.
"Jess!" I cry, flinging the door open.
She takes a look at my red eyes and says, "Jesus, Kate, what happened to you?"
I tell her everything that happened, but I decided to leave the whole part about being an agent out. Wait a minute, Shane doesn't know I'm an agent. And what if... what if he's a Black Shadow agent? Gah! This is too confusing for me.
My phone rings and I pick my phone up to check the screen. It's Shane. I set my mouth into a thin line and decline his call.

This was a short chapter, big surprise. But my family decided to surprise me by going to breakfast before going out so my writing time for the morning has been reduced. Chapter 11 will be longer though so YAYYY
