PATRICK'S POV

Pete and I walked out of the building with an envelope containing all the information that I needed. Joe and Andy were sitting against the wall when we walked out.

Both of their heads snapped up. "So, how'd it go?" Joe asked excitedly.

I smiled and held up the envelope. "Went pretty good, at least I think." Andy jumped up, Joe following.

"Holy shit, Patrick this is great!" Joe shouted, happy tears pricking at his eyes.

"Wanna know what's even better?" I smirked at them and reached into my pocket. Both of them looked at me with confused faces.

"Since I got the part, they paid me upfront." There was a stack of cash in my right palm. "$200."

Both Joe and Andy's eyes practically bulged out of their heads.

"Our little 'Trick here is just that talented. Even the guy in there said he usually doesn't pay people upfront, but he was so impressed with Patrick that he said he had to." Pete smirked down at me and I hid a blush by pretending to scratch at my face.

"Anyways, I say we keep walking and find some places for the rest of us to get jobs. We can't just let Patrick be the only source of our income" Pete said, placing his arm around me with his hand on my shoulder.

Two can play at this game, I thought. I shuffled closer to him, placing my head on his shoulder and wrapping both arms around his midsection. He was obviously taken aback at my actions, but I watched his facial expression change to something mischievous.

"Get on my back." He whispered into my ear, his stubble scratching me slightly.

I complied and let go, walking around him as he crouched down for me to hop on. Pete stood up straight once I got on and I laid my head on his shoulder, my face facing towards his neck.

My breathing on the skin of his neck made him shiver and me chuckle. We both must've forgotten that there were actually other people around, as Andy was looking at us with a nonplussed look and Joe looked at us knowingly.

Thankfully, they brushed it off and we all began walking. There weren't any 'Help Wanted' signs out, surprisingly, but soon enough we gave up and all sat down on a park bench, watching kids play and dogs run around chasing squirrels and sticks.

"Well, this sucks. I can't believe there wasn't a single place looking for new employees." Andy frowned. I nodded in agreement.

I felt a sudden tap on my shoulder. Turning around, I was met with two hazel eyes and a bright grin.

"Ryan!" I smiled brightly at him. He was sweating and wearing basketball shorts and an old looking t-shirt. One earbud was hanging out of his ear and his hair was sticking up in weird places. He must've been out on a run.

"Hey you! Okay okay, so it's actually perfect that you guys are here because I need to take all of you somewhere. Did you leave anything back under the bridge?" We all shook our heads. "No? Great then, follow me and you'll see what Bren and I have up to." Ryan began walking briskly and we were all quick to follow.

About 5 minutes later, we came up on a beautiful, white, two-story house. "Come on in, guys. Don't worry about taking off your shoes, I don't really care." Ryan waved us inside.

I stood in awe at the beautiful interior. A crystal chandelier hung just above the entrance and a white carpeted staircase with a black rug declining down it was to the left, while a long hallway with multiple rooms on the sides and a dining room and kitchen were at the end on the opposite side of the room.

"Bden, I'm home! Also I have the boys!" Ryan shouted and footsteps were heard upstairs. Brendon came bounding down looking a little messy, but of course his hair was perfect. It always is.

"Guys! Welcome! Anyways, so we have a surprise for all of you and we can't wait to show you. Follow me." Brendon spoke quickly and ran back up the stairs, Ryan right behind him.

The rest of us followed and soon enough, we spotted Ryan standing at one door and Brendon standing at another door right across the hallway.

"Pete and Patrick, go stand by Brendon. Joe and Andy, come stand by me." Ryan instructed. We all did as we were told.

"Alright, so we did a little something for you guys, and we hope you appreciate it." Brendon and Ryan pushed open the doors at the same time. They were bedrooms with two king sized beds with an end table in between them, a mirror in the corner, and a standing wardrobe in each room. "We thought you could use a place to stay." Ryan smiled.

I turned around and looked at both of them. "Are you for real? Are you sure you're not just messing with us?"

Brendon laughed. "We would never. Now, go check everything out, boys. We'll go clothes shopping tomorrow, but for tonight I'll find some extra sleep clothes for you all to use." Brendon ruffled my hair and gently nudged me and Pete into the room, Ryan doing the same to Joe and Andy.

There are people in this world who are truly good, and we were lucky enough to find them.
