3RD POV

It was nearing nightfall and Sandman went back to the small shack on the edge of town that he called home. He grabbed what he needed and returned to Benzedrine's house. He didn't bother knocking and just walked inside and down to the lab.

"You ready?" Sandman asked, putting all his stuff in the correct places.

Benzedrine nodded. "I'm good to go."

"Great." The two walked upstairs and it was dark out now. Sandman opened the door and let Benzedrine through.

"Well, show me how it's done, dream boy." Benzedrine grinned and waved his hand to tell Sandman to get on with it.

"Alright, alright, calm down, doc." Sandman pulled a small bag from his pocket and opened it. He grabbed only a pinch of what seemed to be sand and laid it on his hand. The dark clothed make walked up to a house and with a large breath, blew the sand all over the house. Soon enough, any noise within the small home had died down until it was silent.

"Incredible.. You do this every night?" Benzedrine watched in amazement.

"Yep, then Donnie comes around and stops the bad dreams. You know how it works." Sandman smiled and continued his work with the small doctor trailing behind him.

It was close to about 10 or 11 pm when Sandman had finally finished. He turned back to Benzedrine who had slowed down and seemed very tired. "Benz, how long has it been since you last slept?"

"I 'unno, couple days maybe?" He answered groggily.

Sandman sighed and raised his hand. He ran a line down the center of Benzedrine's forehead with his index finger. There was still a small amount of sand that has stuck to his glove on on finger.

"Sleep now, Benz. You deserve it." As Sandman spoke those words, Benzedrine collapsed into Sandman, snoring slightly. The taller boy picked him up bridal style and carried him back to his home.

He managed to open the door with his foot, which was difficult seeing at he had to turn the doorknob. Sandman got the small boy inside and carried him to his bed. He sent him down and pulled off his jacket and hat before pulling a blanket over him.

Sandman walked towards the door before turning around and smiling. "Sleep tight, Benzy. I'll have Donnie come around and give you great dreams tonight." He whispered to the small, sleeping male that had now curled up. He turned off the lights and closed the door.

While walking out of Benzedrine's house, Sandman luckily happened to run into Donnie on his way. Horseshoe Crab is defiantly on Sandman's side tonight.

"Hey, Donnie." He whisper yelled to Donnie.

"Sandman! Hey, what's up?" Donnie walked over to him.

"While you're going around, please make sure to give Benzedrine great dreams tonight. I said he would and I don't want to break what I had said."

"Aw, that's sweet of you, Sandy. I'll make sure to, don't worry." Donnie smiled and patted Sandman on the shoulder before walking to Benzedrine's house and beginning hid job.

Tonight was another sleepless night for Sandman, so he decided to just walk the city. He passed the carousel, hearing the music coming from the speakers and the soft noise of the river that blocked the carousel off from the rest of the ground.

Not far from that, he walked past the portal to 'Normal Land'. He had heard stories about what's on the other side, but he was never sure if they were true or not. Nobody was around so Sandman decided just to take a peek. A small look never hurt anyone, right?
