PATRICK'S POV

For about an hour now, I had been pretending I was asleep. Joe and Andy left earlier to go wherever, but I'd just stayed here, not wanting to wake Pete.

I could tell he had definitely been looking at me earlier, but it was kinda cute honestly. He's obviously been flirting, that was as clear as day, but I've been rejecting him on purpose. Love isn't an easy thing for me and I just don't think I'm ready for that.

The sun had been so bright that I couldn't even open my eyes, but I fought through the pain and sat up slowly, trying to not wake Pete up. But, I ended up failing, as he sat up moments later.

"Where's Joe 'n Andy?" Pete asked me groggily. His morning voice was something I could get used to.

"Not sure, I heard them leave about an hour ago." I shrugged, standing up and dusting myself off.

Pete nodded and stood up, cracking his back and neck before brushing off all the dirt that covered him.

Only about a minute later, a navy blue car that read 'Honda Civic' on the back pulled up to us, and three familiar faces popped out of the windows.

ANDYS POV

"There, they're right there!" I pointed to the two small figures stretching underneath the bridge and told Ryan to pull over to them.

"Get in, guys, were getting breakfast!" Joe shouted from the window. Both of their faces lit up with smiles as they climbed in with us.

"Where are we going?" Asked Pete.

"Probably just iHop or somethin', I'm on a bit of a budget right now." Ryan answered, looking at the two through the rearview mirror.

"Why's that?" I questioned him. Patrick had said some time before that people usually start staying on budgets if something important that they have to save money for is coming up.

"Well, Brendon and I are currently engaged, which happened after we met you guys, and we're saving up for the wedding! There's also another reason, but that's still not a completely confirmed thing, so I won't say anything about that." The tallest of us smiled at the golden band around his finger.

"Aw, Ryan that's fantastic!" Patrick clasped his hands together and grinned widely.

"Thanks, I appreciate it." Ryan smiled and chuckled softly. "Anyways, here we are. Hop on out, guys. Just follow me."

We all followed Ryan through the doors and to a booth. Menus were laid out in front of us and I opened mine, looking through the choices.

"Hi, my name is Hayley, I'll be your server today! Can I start you boys off with some drinks?" Hayley smiled brightly and held a notepad with a pen.

"I'll just have a water." Ryan said, still looking through his menu.

"A water for me as well." Patrick said politely, actually making eye contact and smiling. I always knew he was a kind person at heart, but only me and Joe know that. Pete's still oblivious to that side of Patrick.

"Same here." Pete mumbled, looking at all the delicious foods written and pictured on the menu.

"I'll have a water too." I spoke.

"And for me too, I guess." Joe chuckled.

"Alright, I'll have those right out for you all!" Hayley said, overly cheerful.

"Wow, she's just about the most sanguine being I've ever had the pleasure of meeting." Patrick said, a hint of surprise in his voice. Maybe it wasn't surprise though. Can't really tell, honestly.

We all stared at him, dumbfounded. "What the hell does that mean?" Pete finally spoke up.

"What do you mean?" Patrick turned his head.

"Quit with your fancy ass- y'know, never mind." Joe sighed.

Hayley came back with our drinks and set them all down. "So, what can I get you to eat?" She took the pen from behind her ear and got ready to write.

We all ordered and it took maybe 10 minutes or so for it to be finished. The plates of pancakes and bacon were set out in front of us and we all dug in. Everything was totally delicious.

After our meal, Ryan paid, telling us it was "no big deal", and we all walked outside.

"So, you guys need a ride back?" Ryan asked.

Patrick shook his head. "I think we'll be okay. Plus I think i speak for everyone when I say we need to walk off all that food." He chuckled lightly.

"Alright, well, I'll see you all around! By the way, Bren and I are doing something for you guys and it should be done soon, so, we'll definitely see you all very soon! Bye now!" Ryan waved, walking to his car and driving away.

"So now what?" I asked.

hi hi hi!! so, the reason that this is so quickly updated is cause its mainly a filler chapter, but in some ways it does push the story for the next chapter! so anyways, today has been a crazy day. kenny, formerly of panic, has been exposed for what he had done. i wont say much on the topic, but all i will say is that i no longer carry any respect for that man. on a brighter note, i watched the house with a clock in its walls with my mom today and the theater and it was really good! anywayss, i really hope yall liked this chapter!! bye now!!
