Chapter 3: Amber’s POV

It was midnight and Andy and I were in bed, asleep when the doorbell. He didn’t hear it so I went to go get it. I got up and out of the bedroom and walked to the front door. I opened it and it was CC with a not so cheerful face. I knew something was wrong. “What’s wrong?” I asked.

“I Skyped Collin today.” He started.

“And?” I coaxed him to continue for me.

“He tried to get Journey on the call but we couldn’t get more than half a sentence out of her before locking herself in the bathroom, crying.” He raised an eyebrow. “It was all because of Andy.” I felt tears stream down my cheeks.

“I’ll get Andy come in.” I told him and he nodded, walking into the living room and sitting down on the couch. I walked into the bedroom where Andy was on his stomach, snoring lightly. I shook his shoulder.

“Hey what’s up?” He asked before I gave him sad eyes he sat up and I beckoned him to follow me. When we reached the living room he frowned when he saw CC. “CC what are you doing here? Andy asked nicely.

“I Skyped Collin a half hour ago and he tried to get her talk but we should speak ad she ran to the bathroom, locking herself in there. They said she hadn’t talked sense speaking to you at dinner.” He said. He had a bag with him, he took it off his shoulders and opened the top, revealing his laptop.

“Skype them using my computer they’ll think it’s me.” He said, Andy nodded as he opened the laptop and getting on his Skype. He pressed call on Collins ID and he let it ring. We heard it pick up. Andy sat on the ground, setting the laptop on the coffee table.

“Hey dad!” He said happily before realizing it was Andy. “Uncle Andy?” He frowned.

“Can you try to get Journey for me?” He pleaded. Collin sighed as he called over Parker.

“Parker get Journey to open the bathroom door.” He said in the distance. We heard a light knocking on a door and then Parker speaking to her.

“Journey we know your upset please unlock the door. You don’t have to leave but just open so I can come in.” Parker pleaded. We then heard a lock clicking ad a creaking bathroom door. We saw Parker moving the laptop and bringing into the small bathroom. Then we saw Journey.

                She looked broken.

She was in leggings and in a grey hoodie with the hood up.

“Journey we want you to talk to someone.” Parker said softly. She turned her head. Facing his way and we could see her face. She just looked sad. He set down the lap top next to her feet. She waved before he shut the door.

                “Journey.” Andy started.

“Leave me alone. You wanted me gone for a year you got it. I won’t even turn up for my breaks sense you wanted me gone so badly.” She snapped. Andy’s eyes looked shocked.

“Honey, Darling, I wanted to send you here because I knew you would enjoy the students there, I knew you would enjoy spending more time with Parker sense your closest to him.” Andy explained.
