Chapter 9

Brooklyn's POV:

I can't believe what I saw around me. I still found myself marveling at the world around me. I knew where I was immediately. The park, my park. It was the park that was right across from the orphanage. I knew that because Juliet used to take me here when I was little for my birthday. I started to get water develop in my eyes. The trees and the playground were all strung out with lights inside of jars. And when I looked in front of me I saw a flower walkway that led up to Liam who was holding a guitar behind his back and was wearing a dashing tux. He started to walk towards me while singing a song that he wrote for me and was strumming his guitar which was rhythmed perfectly with the song. While everyone was lined up with their partners along the side of the flowers: Niall & Kylie, Harry & Alyssa, Eleanor & Louis, and Perrie and & Zayn who were all looking at my expression while smiling. And once the song ended Liam was already inches away from my face so I gave him a gigantic hug while trying not to mess up his suit with my tears too much. And he whispered in my ear, "You like?" While chuckling. "I love it Liam! Thank you. This means a lot to me but what's this all for?" I asked grinning curiously at him. "Well did you still want an answer to that question you asked me yesterday?" He asked smirking. "Yeah. But what's that have to do with-" he cut me off by taking my hands in his and looking directly into my eyes with his warm brown ones. "Brooklyn Marie Payne. Would you do me the honor of being my girlfriend.?" He asked smiling waiting for an answer. "Um.. I don't know..." I said unsure of myself. He began to frown and I could see the tears beginning to well up in his eyes. "Liam I'm going to be completely honest with you. Okay?" I said looking at his hurt face and he nodded. "Yes. A million times YES!!" I said soulfully smiling so wide that my face hurt. "Really?! Oh my god!!" He said happily. Immediately he smashed his lips onto mine. We kissed for what seem infinity but when Harry said, "My god guys how long can you hold your breaths?!" We both broke apart and smiled while looking deep into each other's eyes. Everyone started to laugh at Harry's comment. "C'mon guys we have to hurry up before it gets dark and have our picnic and cause Niall might eat someone if he doesn't eat now." Zayn said rushingly. "How did you know this was my favorite place?!" I asked Liam curiously. "Well we went to the orphanage across the street and talked to Juliet the caretaker there and she told us everything that we needed to plan this 'special' event.!" Liam said while putting a dramatic effect on 'special'. I giggled and when we sat down to eat our picnic under a tree Niall immediately opened the basket and found a sandwich and a bag of crisps. And immediately started to eat as fast as he could. Liam started pass out different sandwiches to everyone and I got a veggie sandwich which was my favorite! I wondered how much stuff Juliet told the boys about me. I started to laugh to myself.

After we finished the picnic we all played some football(soccer) and the boys had luckily packed some spare casual clothes for us to wear so we didn't mess up our dresses while playing. The teams were then separated into two groups. "Me and Liam are team captains." Said Niall. "I get to go first cause I won against Liam in the rock,paper, scissors competition before so I choose.... Brooklyn!" Said Niall excitedly. When I was 14 I used to be on a soccer league for advanced kids so I guess he also knew this about me also when Juliet probably told them. "I choose Kylie.!" Said Liam sticking his tongue out at Niall. Niall just glared at him and in the end the teams were; Me, Niall, Zayn, Louis, and Eleanor against Liam, Perrie, Alyssa, Kylie, and Harry. I was an offensive player so I was in the middle of the parks field facing Liam as he whispered to me, "So you scared now?" He asked while smirking at me. "Nope," I said confidently, "but you should be." I said smirking back at him and them the whistle blew and I took off with the ball that I stole from Liam and made my way past Perrie and faked out Harry(hey that rhymes!) and scored a goal with Kylie almost blocking it by jumping to the side. Niall then whooped and yelled an gave me a big bear hug. I winked at Liam who just grinned back at me shaking his head. We played like this for what seemed like hours and the score was tied up at the end 20:20 and we all had a group hug and headed back to Louis' house to watch some movies and hang out.
