Chapter 17

Brooklyn's POV:

My alarm clock went off for some unknown reason. It was only 2 a.m. too early to go call or hang out with the girls or guys and Liam was sleeping heavy in his room. So I grabbed my phone and some shoes along with a sweater and jeans. Then went I for a walk. I reached the park fifteen minutes later and just sat up in a tree and played with my phone. I just threw it up and down in the air for a while and started to drift off in a daydream but then I heard someone below me say, "I thought I heard someone up there." It was a girl about my age. She had golden blonde hair that fell to her waist, bright blue eyes, was a bit taller looking than me and was wearing a striped long sleeve shirt with dark blue jeans. She smiled at me. "Can I join you up there?" She asked politely. "Sure." I said nodding my head, smiling back. She scaled up the tree with ease just like me and sat across from me on the branch. "I'm Brooklyn." I said reaching my hand out to shake hers. "Alexis but you can call me Alex." She said back to me and shook it with a firm grip. Nice to meet you Alex. I thought I would be the only one up here at 2 in the morning." I said sarcastically. She laughed and said, "I come up here all the time when I get bored." "Cool." I said. We talked for hours and hours. I trusted her so much for some reasons hat I even told her about me and Liam dating but are brother and sister. She surprised me by smiling and cooing about how cute that was. We both laughed. It turns out we have a lot in common and She lives right across the street from me and Liam. "Why don't you come over today.? And I could introduce you to everyone.!" I asked excitedly. "Yeah sure! I have nothing to do anyway ever since my parents moved out. So why not?!" She said grinning wide making me laugh. I got a text while we were walking back to my place.

Hey where r u? The boys are over and we don't have the best news in the world plz come over soon!! I miss u!!! Text me back!!<3 Xx

To: Liam<3

Sorry I didn't respond earlier I went for a walk and the rest is a long story. I'm coming right now! Luv u!!<3 Xx

"Who was that?" Alexis asked. "Just Liam he said to come over fast and that something is wrong we better hurry." I said and we sprinted to the house. It was only two blocks away and wasn't to long of a run. We bursted inside the door and saw Liam and the guys hovering over someone who was sobbing on the couch. "What's wrong?! I came as soon as Liam texted me." I looked over to see was crying and saw Niall. His blue eyes were murky and bloodshot from crying so much. He was shaking and holding his phone to me. I saw the text it had on there and it was from Kylie.

Dear Niall,

I don't know how to say this but I'm breaking up with you. I'm so sorry. But my heart belongs to someone else. I'm going to miss you so much. Please forget about me and move on because you deserve someone who truly loves you. Goodbye. -Kylie

"Oh my god." I said shocked. "I'm so sorry Niall." I said engulfing him in a bear hug. "She said she loved me. *sniffle* Why did she do this? Why did she break my heart.." He said in my shoulder. "Look Niall. You're the most strongest and kindest person I know. She made the biggest mistake of her life and she'll realize that later on. But if someone could be that stupid enough to dump you then they don't deserve your love." I said looking straight at him. "You really think so?" He said sniffling. "I know so. So I think it's time you moved on and find someone who really loves you.!" I said lifting him off the couch. "Your right. Thanks Brooklyn." He said smiling back at me. "No problem." I said smiling back. I let go of him and turned around to see Alexis standing at the doorway awkwardly holding her arm by her side. "Oh I almost forgot. Sorry! Um guys I would like you to me Alexis my friend! Alexis this is Liam, Niall, Harry, Louis, and Zayn!" I said cheerily pulling her over to the guys. "Hey!" They all said waving at her. "Hi!" She said grinning waving back. I turned around to see her Niall staring at each other for quite a while. Maybe his true love is closer than he thinks. I giggled at the two. "Look at you making friends already!" Liam whispered in my ear smirking at me. "Yeah she's really nice! I feel like I've known her forever! And just a heads up she knows about... You know.. Us." I said whispering back to him. " I kinda took a guess since she's staring at us like we are two cute baby puppies." He said smiling and pointing at her. Alexis quickly wiped away her expression and went to talk some more with the boys.. Especially Niall. "I think they're going to hit it off well." Liam said looking at the two talk and blush. "You totally read my mind.!" I said laughing. "I know I'm just awesome like that." He said firing back. "Sure whatever helps you sleep at night.!" I said smirking. "I'll get you later so people won't have to hear your pleas of help later on." He said evilly. "Yeah right." I said rolling my eyes. I walked away but when I turned back he had a mischievous smile on his face. "It's so on." He mouthed to me. "Whatever." I mouthed back. I was scared. But if I showed that I was it would've made this situation much more worse than it already was. "Do you think you can stay the night?" I asked Alex pleading. "Liam might kill me in my sleep.!" I said scaredly whispering to her. She laughed and said, "Don't worry I'll protect you!" She said wrapping her arms around me as a shield. We giggled and asked the boys if they wanted to sleep over too. They all agreed and started to get dressed for bed. I couldn't believe it was already 9 p.m.! How long did me and Alex talk up in that tree?! I laughed at the thought and changed in my pajamas to find Alexis sitting on my bed like a security dog looking out for Liam. I laughed and she smiled. I sat next to her asking what she wanted to do. She told me her evil pranking plan. At first I was scared but I knew she would be by my side during the entire mission. So I nodded and grabbed our supplies for the pranking to begin. We were carrying bottles of whipped cream, black markers, multi-colored feathers, and honey. All of the boys were asleep on the couches downstairs. So we quietly snuck around putting mustaches on all of them, sprayed whipped cream in their hands,

Squeezed out honey all over them, and hung buckets full of feathers hanging right above their heads. It was the perfect plan. And once they got up they would all be smothered in honey and feathers with marker mustaches and try to wipe off the feathers but actually will put whipped cream all over themselves with their hands. We had a camera ready to snap whenver they woke up so we would get the picture of their faces. Me and Alex high-fived each other and giggling then went upstairs to sleep in my room.

We awoke to the sound of boys jumping and screaming downstairs and we immediately smiled and climbed out of my window quickly and sprinted into Alex's house and locked the door behind us so they couldn't get in. We watched from her attic window as they stomped around the house angrily and were freaking out. We laughed so hard that our stomached were hurting and tears of laughter were streaming down our face. They all went upstairs 5 minutes later to my room to search for us and probably kill us but they couldn't find us anywhere. So they took showers and drove off somewhere. Alex and I exchanged curious looks at where they were heading too. We stared out the window until they came back with bags and bags of pranking supplies and evil smiles on their faces. We watched as they set up most of the pranks in the house knowing what they were and how they worked. We immediately had evil grins on our faces and said, "Let the games begin."
