Halloween writing prompt

Stars

Some time, long, long ago there was a girl. A beautiful girl who lived in the forest. She would only come out once a year during the time of Halloween. That was until something happened and she was sent off the live in a star. 

They say now that if you see her you're cursed to remain in the forest for all time. 

"That's a load of crap Max," Jeremy said 

"Yeah, but it's a pretty scary story isn't it?" Max said 

"No, it really isn't" Liam commented they all laughed 

"Fine, but don't be calling out to me when you see her. They say she is small and wears a gown of silvery white. With hair as white as the moon," Max said 

"Sounds like she's a ghost and not human," Jeremy said 

"Well I'm going to bed," Liam said getting up the rest agreed and went into their tents for the night. 

At about midnight a screak was heard from outside their tents

"What was that?" Jeremy asked 

"It's her," Liam said 

"Stop that!" Max yelled 

"Fine, I'll go see what it is," Liam said walking out of his tent and heading for where the screak was heard. As he walked it started getting darker and fog started to surround him. Suddenly there was a snap of a twig "Who's there?" he asked searching around there were more snaps around him. Panic and fear were written on his face. He began to turn in circles trying to find the source of the snaps until he came face to face with a woman of sheer pale white. He froze in place unable to move or speak.

"It's been a while since anyone has come to see me. Would you like to stay with me?" the woman asked Liam shook his head "To bad" she said another screak erupted from her making Liam run back toward their camp. 

"Liam, what's wrong?" the others asked when he got there 

"The woman, she's real," he said panic in his voice 

"She's fake man. It was just a story" Max said 

"No I saw her," he said then pointed over somewhere. They all turned to see the woman

"It's so nice for you to visit," she said before she attacked them. 

The next morning the area was a mess with blood splattered everywhere and no one to be seen. 

'So nice of you to visit' 

Was carved with blood onto a tree.
