Halloween writing prompt

Treats

Halloween night, the night where everyone dresses up in a costume just to go out and beg their neighbors for candy. I was getting ready before the doorbell rang 

"I got it!" my sister said opening the door "Mallory, Catherine is here!" she yelled shutting the door 

"Ok!" I yelled from upstairs as I quickly got dressed and ran downstairs "Hey Cat" I said 

"Hey Mal, you ready?" she asked dressed as a fairy while I was a witch. I nodded my head as I grabbed my bag as we headed out to annoy our neighbors. 

We first went all throughout my neighborhood before going over to Catherine's. We saw several other people in really cool costumes like killers, animals and even crazy costumes like a grape. When we were done we split up and headed back to our houses.

"Hey mom I'm back" I yelled closing the door and heading to the living room 

"Oh good, how was it?" she asked 

"It was good. We got a lot of candy" I said dumping out the pile of candy in my bag 

"Don't eat all of that, you might get a stomachache" she said going upstairs I turned grinning toward the huge pile. It was filled with kit kat, snickers, Hershey bars, musketeers, milky ways, more kit kat, and snickers then a bunch of hard candy like lollipops. 

"I'm going to eat all of this," I said tearing the wrapper of one. 

By midnight more than half the pile of candy was gone "I must finish this" I said grabbing for another piece. Sometime during the night, I passed out. 

Mallory's mom came down and into the living room the next morning "Mal, honey wake up," she said Mallory didn't wake up. Her mother pushed her a little bit trying to wake her up "Mallory you need to wake up" she said as fear went through her as she sensed something was wrong. She then turned on the lights to reveal Mallor surrounded my candy wrappers with her face and body pale and shallowly breathing 

"Jeff come down here!" she yelled covering her mouth as a race of feet came downstairs. Her husband and her other daughter came into the room 

"Start the car!" Jeff urged as he picked up Mallory and following his wife toward the car. The whole family rushed to the hospital 

"Please, help me," Jeff said when they arrived at the hospital 

"What's the matter sir?" a lady asked 

"It's my daughter. I don't know what's wrong with her" he told her the nurse looked down at Mallory before calling over more nurses and doctors. They all rushed her into the ER while her family waited outside. 

After a few hours a doctor came out "Mallory's family" he said they all stood up 

"What's wrong?" her mother asked 

"What did she eat last night?" the doctor asked 

"When I found her she had eaten all the candy she got from last night," she said 

"She's in a food coma. We've tried to help but there isn't much we can do" he said 

"When will she wake up?" her father asked 

"Whenever all the candy has been digested down," he said, "We'll keep her here just to keep an eye on her," he said the family nodded before the doctor walked away

"I told her not to eat it all," her mother said breaking down in tears.
