Halloween writing prompt

Black

The color of death and darkness. The color of cats that people don't like. The color of depression and sadness.

A color of infinite darkness that swallows you up into an endless cycle of swirling blackness.

It's the perfect color for Halloween! You're scared out of your mind during this time. Thinking that someone or something is watching you. The night, certain people like it while others are terrified of it. The unknown lives in the black darkness of the night. We don't know exactly what is out there but whatever it is we are scared by it.

Black is also used for funerals and mourning the dead. There will be seas of people with black in and women crying while their black mascara streaks their face. Leaving then looking like a black and white clown.
