Here lies Mrs. Mary Margrent

1867-1885

She was a beautiful girl and a wonderful daughter. You will be miss.

I stood there before her gravestone staring down at it.

"Do you know the story of how she died kid?" an old, crippled man asked who stopped by

"Yeah, she died in her sleep," I said the old man shook his head

"That's what the news said but they didn't really care about her death. How she really died was her husband poisoned and she died that way" the man said

"But why would her husband do it?" I asked puzzled by this

"Everyone didn't know but her and her husband actually hated each other. They were forced to marry each other just so their parents could be happy. They would bicker and fight every day, sometimes even in public"

"That's awful" I commented the man nodded

"It...was her parents wanted her to be wed young but she married the wrong person. So one night after a huge fight they had had they husband went up to her room when she was asleep and slipped poison onto her lips. The next morning he left only to come back when a neighbor called the police about a smell coming from their house. That's when they found her" the old man explained

"They really must have hated each other to do that"

"Years of fighting you eventually would get tired of it and want something to happen," he said standing beside me looking down at the tombstone

"Good riddance" the old man whispered before walking off. It was very strange that I've never once seen that old man until then. And I've never seen him since then. One day I asked someone about it

"Oh, that's her husband. They say as revenge for killing her he now haunts the gravestone that she lies under now" they told me. I went back to the gravestone again just to see if anyone had left anything on her stone. Unfortunately not, for there was just bare stone, no flowers or anything. I looked up to see a different person but similar to the old man I had seen there. This time he was younger and much more handsome looking with his hair slicked back and a nice suit on making him look like a businessman

"How are you today?" he asked walking over to me

"I'm good what about you?" I asked back

"I'm doing marvelously, look at the sky isn't it just lovely," he said holding his arms out up toward the sky. I looked up but the sky wasn't that lovely as there were rain clouds rolling in and the sky was grey

"Not really sir, hey can I ask you something?"

"Sure, what is it bud?"

"Do you know how Mrs. Mary Margent died?" I wondered the young man walked right up next to me and looked down at her gravestone

"Oh, she's nothing but a good for nothing bitch who complains all the time and wants you to do everything for her," he said

"Why do you say that?" I asked

"I should know, I lived with her" my heart dropped this woman died several years ago and this man says that he lived with her.

"Wait are you—" I started

"Her husband, yes. What I did was right and I don't regret it" he said before turning and smiling at me "Well, see you around bud," he said before putting his hand on me only to have it ghost through my shoulder

"What" I breathed out as I watched him walking away and disappear into thin air "I talked to a ghost," I said looking back at the stone. There was some small writing on the corner at the bottom of the gravestone

"Save me" but was written to be flipped and say "I'm fine" too. Then there was some more writing on the other side of the gravestone "You are a disgrace. I should have never agreed to marry you".

'Dang, they really did not like each other' I thought walking out of the graveyard.
