Halloween writing prompt

Scream

Now I live in a party of town where every night and every day someone is screaming. Whether it be from a fight, break-in, or murder there is always screaming but one night there was a different scream. 

Late at night way past when I was supposed to be asleep I heard a scream. But it wasn't like the rest of the screams I've heard. This one was like someone filled their mouth and stomach up with water and told to scream while also being stabbed and slashed repeatedly. I looked outside to see if anyone's lights were on but they weren't. Then the screams got louder and louder until they were deafening and sickening to me. This went on for 5 minutes until it stopped becoming dead quiet and still. At this point, I got up from the floor where I fell to because of the noise and walked over to the window. There was no one outside, not even cars or lights on. 

"Where could that scream have come from?
