Evan and Connor were laying side by side in the orchard, just... talking, and taking in the view.

                          
"I love you more than you will ever know." Connor smiled.

                          
"I love you more." Evan replied happily.

                          
For that moment, everything was fine. The sun was shining, the trees giving just the right amount of shade, hands just barely touching, whispers of wind in the apple trees. 

                          
And then that phone call.
