Tommy drove me and AJ to the airport after we shared a nice lunch together, then before he left us at the airport, he told me if anything didn't go right to give him a call and he'd be there to get me and AJ and bring us both back home with him. After he kissed me on the cheek he handed me a wallet with a couple hundred dollars in it and said it wasn't much, but it would help with a little food and drinks until I made it to Chloe's place. I told him it would be more than enough, then I promised him that I would keep in touch with him always and that so AJ wouldn't feel homesick he needed to video chat with us every now and then so AJ could see him, Trinity, and Brina.

As soon as Tommy left us at the airport as AJ and I were waiting in line to board the plane, AJ asked if we were running away from daddy. I closed my eyes for a moment, then knelt down to him and told him that we weren't running from anything, we were just getting away from the past so we could make a bright future for us in a new and happier place. AJ yawned a few times before leaning up against my leg telling me how sleepy he was. I put his duffel bag around my shoulder then picked him up and carried him onto the plane. One of the stewardesses grabbed my two bags and placed them in the overhead storage then showed me how the safety harnesses worked, then she handed me a couple pillows and a blanket for us to share and said the flight wasn't as long as people thought and that we'd be in Vegas before we knew it.

I laid AJ down with his bunny rabbit and he was sound asleep instantly, I tried to rest for a while, but when I realized sleep wasn't going to happen for me, I pulled out my phone and played a few silly games on it for a while, then plugged in my earbuds and listened to some music until I finally did pass out two hours later. During my sleep I had dreams of Kristoffer, when we first met, and it was as if, I was trying to figure out why I didn't see what he was when I decided to fall for him...but I was awakened when the stewardess, let me know that we were just three hours away from the Vegas Airport. Then she asked if either I or my son was hungry, and that she had some really good food she was serving this evening. I told her we both could definitely eat, but then I asked her how much it costs. She gave me a snicker as she told me it was free with the flight beens I was in first class. I told her I was sorry I was being so silly, and that this was my first plane ride, she smiled and said it was fine, then she changed the subject and asked what me and my son would like to drink.

I asked if I could get a Cherry Coke, and AJ some chocolate milk, she shook her head as she walked toward the front of the plane where the food and beverages were stored, and she grabbed the soda and milk, then she came back and served it to us, along with a couple of warm chocolate chip cookies for dessert. I thanked her as I got AJ up for his meal. He was a hungry lil man, he ate very quickly and when he finished he looked up at me and asked if he could have some more. I didn't want to bother the stewardess again, so I gave him some of mine, beens for some reason the flight was really making me nauseous, but the Cherry Coke was settling it some.

I did manage to get the cookie down though, it was very delicious too. AJ looked up at me for the second time with gooey melted chocolate all over his face and fingers, as he said he was still thirsty. I didn't like giving him soda pop but every now and then I would give him some, so I gave him a few sips from my can as I told him in another hour we would be landing in Las Vegas. He looked up and moved to the plane's window and looked around at the clouds, then he looked down and saw massive desert land...then when he looked further ahead, he began to see huge buildings covered in beautiful flashing lights. But before it was time to land, he stood up while crossing his little legs and said he was about to have a serious situation if he didn't go to the bathroom. I loved how my lil man worded things, he was always making me laugh, but I stood up and walked him to the bathroom so he could go potty.

Right, when he finished we both heard the flight attendant speak over the loudspeaker, letting us know it was about landing time, and we all needed to be buckled in because landing always came with some turbulence and he didn't want anyone getting hurt right before making it to their final destination. I quickly pulled AJ's pants up and told him we needed to get back to our seats and buckle in for the landing. He hopped in his seat, then I snapped his harness on. No sooner than I sat down and barely got my harness snapped when the plane took a slight dive as it lowered itself for the landing...the turbulence was enough to make me want to throw up, but AJ seemed to enjoy it. Then after the turbulence ended, the plane dropped its wheels down for the bumpy landing and bumpy wasn't the word for it, I felt like I was riding on a mechanical bull and staying on the entire 8 seconds before the plane gently rolled to a complete stop, and the stewardesses came around and handed down our luggage to us, then escorted us to the exit doors where we took turns and safely exited the plane.
