I held my breath and tapped on the contact. The only info shown was her name and number? How did this person know my mom, who was she? Whoever she was, perhaps mom warned her about the situation I could have "happend to land in" and did in act land in. I press call on the phone...

~~Liz Hemmings POV~~

The boys had just left for school so I decided to relax (which I don't get to do much nowadays with 4 hormonal boys in the house). Having the house to myself as my husband Ryan was currently at work I put the kettle on and waited for the water to boil.

ah peace and quiet at la...

"So are we dancers? Or are we humans? My story's vital my hands are cold"

Johnny Cash blared out of my phone I fumbled arund the house and finally found it in my purse, turning on the screen I let out a loud gasp.

The caller ID said Emily Michin. I firmly pressed answer on the mobile...

"Emily, darling, are you okay? Have you gotten away from that.. that.. monster!?! Please honey, come and stay with me, and Rosalie too. I will be able to sleep more peacfully knowing your safe! I've been worried sick!" I babbled down the phone, worry evident in my voice.

A month ago Emily had rung me in a frantic state, telling me about how her husband was getting out of hand. She'd asked that should god forbid something happend to her, her daughter Rosalie would be able to come and live here with me. I'd agreed but before I could ask questions she'd hung up. Since the call, I've been worried sick!

~~Rosalie's POV~~

"Emily, darling, are you okay? Have you gotten away from that.. that.. monster!?! Please honey, come and stay with me, and Rosalie. I will be able to sleep more peacfully knowing your safe! I've been worried sick!" The woman babbled down the line, she sounded frantic. It was clear that this phone had belonged to her mother as that was the caller ID name that must've come up. However, hearing the mention of my mothers name brought fresh tears which I'd managed to keep down for most of the journey in my eyes.

"N-n-no, this is R-r-rosalie" I maybed to sob down the phone. I heard an audible gasp down the line. A fresh hope in my heart told me this woman, Liz and my mother had been close! Liz had said I could stay with her, perhaps this is a silver lining to my cloud of a life so far!

"... R-rosalie? Darling, are you okay? Is your mother there? Rosalie... Can I speak to your mo..."

"MY MOM'S DEAD" I manage to say inbetween hiccups.

I hear more sniffling on the other side of the line.

"D-d-darling, where are you? Let me come and pick you up, please tell me honey. You must come and stay with me". The voice sounded sad and meloncholic, as if she'd been expecting the bad news.

"No, m-m-ma'am. I'll c-catch and r-r-ride, b-b-but thank you! Thank y-y-you so so much." I manage to stutter before hanging up.
