Hello everyone just a quick note before the chapter begins and I beg all of you please DO NOT SKIP THIS. At a point in the chapter one of the scenes gets really serious so I will put a warning before and after the scene for those who are squeamish. In short this is a gore warning.

Onto the story

"Wasn't his father arrested?"

"Yeah. I heard it was his fault for blaming the royals for what happened to the lost kingdom."

"I knew he was stupid before but this just proves it."

"His family lost all their wealth because of him so pretty soon he won't even be able to afford to come to this school."

"Should've kept his mouth shut maybe then he'd still have his parents."

Odion kept his head down while listening to the murmurs of his classmates. How could children so young be so cruel? He'd have his revenge one day. It wasn't his fault that his father allowed himself to be arrested because they spoke the truth. One day he would free his father and bring back the Thirteenth Kingdom.

Lance opened his eyes after several seconds to find the bullet millimeters away from his face. He looked around to find time frozen and stood while pushing the bullet away.

"They took you for granted."

Lance looked around trying to find the source of the voice.

"They tried to kill you after everything you did for them."

From the corner of his eye Lance saw a shadow move from one building to the next and pulled out the knife kept on his thigh.

"Ah. Ah. Ah. I wouldn't try that if I were you. I control everything when time is in this state." Lance felt all the air leaving his body and grabbed his throat in a desperate attempt to keep a few drops. "I could kill you if I wanted. But I won't I have bigger plans for you my little assassin." Oxygen slowly returned to his lungs as his vision went blurry and Lance took a deep breath.

"Just what kind of demon are you? And what kind of plans could you possibly have for me?" Lance stared at the building he last saw the shadow and crouched in his stance a bit.

"Dear boy that's for me to know and for you to agree with. I can help you get revenge on the bastard that just tried to kill you. I can even grant your heart's greatest desire."

"And just how do I know the bastards didn't send you to finish me off?" The assassin jumped at the building the shadow was last seen behind.

"I could've killed you by now but I haven't. In fact it was me that saved you if earlier if you don't remember. Just follow me and I'll give you everything you want."

Lance stared at the empty spot and mulled over the words spoken to him. "Everything you say? Sounds too good to be true. I'd rather death"

"Very well then. I'll give you time to change your mind. I will be back my dear Lance."

The air around him grew colder and Lance found himself back at the crash scene standing behind his former boss. Time resumed and Lance watched the bullet meant to kill him wedge itself into the ground.

"What the? Where did that scrawny bastard run off to now?"

Ok warning begins here

"Right behind you." Lance ran the full length of his knife into his boss's back. "Everything I did for you and you repay me by trying to kill me. Should've known swine like you would just wallow in your shit for the rest of your life. Now you don't have to feel guilty about it." Lance pulled out the knife and stared at the hole left behind. "I'm sorry did that hurt? Let me help soothe the pain." Lance wedged the knife into a another spot on the man's back and twisted it.

Lance took the gun from the man and shot him in the knee twice watching the blood flow down his leg. "Dirty bastard just sits behind a desk and forces us to do your dirty work for you. Now you can rot in hell where you belong." Lance shot the man in his other knee and watched him crumble to the ground. He felt a laugh coming up at the pathetic state his boss was in and couldn't help the smile on his face.

"You son of a bitch you can't kill me! I own you! I made you what you are today. If it wasn't for me you'd be dead a long time ago." The man spat blood on the ground and glared up at Lance. "With me dead your life is gonna be miserable. I'm the only person yo9u have left. Sasabe is dead now because of you."

"You shut your mouth! You're never allowed to say her name ever again!" Lance shot the man in his mouth and laughed at crater left behind. There were teeth everywhere and his tongue wasn't too far from his shoes. "Maybe now you'll finally understand your place maggot. On the ground at my feet like the worthless animal you are." Lance stepped on the guy's head as if it was a trophy won for all his hard work.

"I'll see you in hell." Lance shot the man one final time and glanced at the splattered remains of his head. He pulled his knife out of the man's back and wedged it into a chunk of his head a few feet away from the body. The police would show up any second now looking for witnesses. He had two options, stay and give a statement as an innocent bystander who happened to walk onto the scene, or run now and be given the death penalty. The latter seemed more fun so in the blink of an eye he was gone.

"What do you mean he got away?"

"The suspect is gone sir. The area was clear by the time we made it here."

"Well search again. Even if you have to search the entire city he must be caught no matter the cost."

"Yes sir.

The man hung up the phone and rubbed his temple.

"Sorry Inspector Vance but the report just came back from Forensics. The trail went cold."

"Shit. Don't tell me he got away again."

"I'm sorry sir."

Vance sighed and pick up the phone. "You're dismissed."

The officer nodded and left the office.

"To catch a killer one must hire a killer."

Hello to everyone out there. New chapter up yay *applause* and it is interesting to me. So much gore in one chapter my poor heart could barely handle it while writing it.

But as always vote and leave a comment about what you'd like to see next. I do take all comments into consideration so don't be shy like I am. Next update will take a while.
