Odion moved quickly through the hallways avoiding the areas that sounded heavy with battle. He pushed in a brick in the wall and watched as the same wall split into two and opened up before him. He pushed the boy he was holding into the secret passage and looked at deep into his eyes.
"No matter what happens to me just know that you are to continue what I have started. All you need to know is in this book." Odion gave the boy a thick book, which was white in color. The title read Astrogia. "Now run my son and do not turn back."
"But can't you come with me father?"
"No. They will kill us both but our work must continue and you are the key. I need you to stay alive no matter what. Now run. And don't look back."
The boy turned away from his father with tear filled eyes and ran as fast as his feet could carry him. As the sounds of war continued around him, his mind became numb as if it was almost hollow. His legs eventually stopped moving and the boy laid down where he was and fell into a deep sleep.
"Rest my son. When you awake you will not have any memory of me but your task will be great."

The night air was cool and the city lights lit up the sky. A night like tonight was perfect for a night out on the town. The streets were crowded but not extremely crowded and the pace seemed relaxed for once. Nothing could ruin such a perfect night.
"I'm home." The boy walked through the front door and headed straight into the kitchen. Usually there would be dinner in the microwave waiting for him but nothing today. "Weird. Did mom forget to cook?"
The boy shrugged and went to his room instead. After taking a quick shower he went back down to the kitchen to make himself a cup soup at least. He didn't make it far when he heard strange noises coming from his mother's room. Curiosity got the better of him and he peeked his head through her door to check if she was alright.
"What the fuck are you doing?!" The boy stared in horror as his father, who had been missing for some time laid on top of his mother with a gun to her head. "Get off of her you bastard!"
"Adrien no! Run away or he might hurt you too!" Adrien's mother struggled to warn her son before she was slapped in the face by her ex-husband.
"Shut up bitch. This is all your fault. You! Son! Get out right now or I swear I'll blow both this bitch's head clean off." His father looked at him with dark circles under his eyes and a psychotic grin on his face.
"Dad put the gun down and let's talk about this." Adrien entered the room fully and put his hands up where his father could see them.
"Talk? There's nothing to talk about. Talking could be done when you were still six Adrien but now you're eighteen. I've lost my chance with both of you. There's only one thing I want right now and I'm taking it whether you're watching or not." Adrien's father turned back to his mother and continued to unbutton her blouse slowly.
Adrien's eyes widened as he realized his father's true intentions and he picked up the standing lamp close to him. He motioned to his mother that she should be quiet. He snuck up behind his father and raised the lamp. Before he could swing the gun went off and a dark cackle filled the room.
"I warned you boy. Now look at what you've done Adrien. You killed your mother. What are the police gonna say? You'll be put away for life when they see that you killed both of us." Adrien's father waved at Adrien with a smile on his face before shooting himself as well.
All the color drained from his face and the contents of his uneaten dinner slowly crawled up his throat. He emptied his stomach into the nearest garbage bin and made his way to his mother's body slowly. He held her cold hand one last time and let out a small sob. She tried her best to keep them away from his father. But in the end she paid with her life.
That was four years ago and the memory was still fresh in the boy's mind. He sat up in his bed and stared at the wall in front of him. A lifetime seemed so long at first but three years passed by in no time. Maybe he could hit his head hard enough and shorten his sentence. While these thoughts ran through his mind the psychiatrist in charge of him walked through the door.
"Good morning Adrien. How do you feel today?" The doctor smiled at him and set her clipboard in her lap.
Adrien looked at her then looked back at the wall. He sighed and laid down with his back facing her.
"Not talking today either are you? That's alright. I'll talk for the both of us. You can just listen. Since your condition isn't getting better they're giving you more medication. And they want you to eat the food they give you."
Adrien got up from the bed and walked over to his doctor and straddled her. She looked up at him uneasily slowly reaching for the pepper spray in her pocket.
"He was over her just like this. Undressing her with a gun to her head. He tried to rape my mother and killed her in front of me. Then he tried to frame me by killing himself after. That man was my father." Adrien grabbed her hand that was reaching for her coat pocket and held it above her head. "She was just as defenseless as you are right now. She begged me to run away but I didn't. I tried to help but I couldn't do anything. She died because of me." Adrien let go of the psychiatrist and moved away from her.
She looked at him in awe and quickly wrote down something on her clipboard. "It's the first time you've talked since you got here. Wanna tell me how you feel now?"
Adrien growled and threw his tray of breakfast at her. "Just leave me alone!" He ran at her but stopped as electricity flowed through his body. He fell to his knees and clutching his chest.
"No! Stop! We were making progress. He's not dangerous!" The psychiatrist pleaded to the security guard at the open door across the room.
Adrien looked her as his body locked up on him and a tear escaped his eye. As soon as the tear escaped his eye the cushioned walls surrounding him seemed to fade away into open space.
"Hello Adrien."
"What the hell. Where am I? And who was that?" Adrien looked around at the seemingly endless blank space he was in.
"I can be your friend."
"And why should I believe that? I don't even know who you are."
A man with black hair appeared in front of Adrien and smiled at him. "My name is Ophiuchus. I don't like the way they treat you at that place. I can help you get your freedom back."
Adrien raised an eyebrow and scoffed. "Whatever man. I don't have time for the likes of you right now. Now can you put me back where you got me from."
"What about your mother? She wouldn't want you living like this."
"Don't you dare mention my mother. I will kill you."
"Then come and fight me. Get all of your frustration out."
"Shut up!" Adrien lunged for the guy and missed as he disappeared into smoke and reappeared behind Adrien. "Stand still why don't you or are you afraid I'll really hurt you?"
"Don't be silly boy. Even if you could touch me you could never hurt me. But I on the other hand-" The man watched Adrien grab his throat and gasp for air. "-don't have to touch you in order to hurt you. Don't you want power like this?"
Adrien took a deep breath of air and looked up at the man in front of him. "What if you fail me?"
"That's not even an option. Just shake my hand and I can train you." Ophiuchus smiled as Adrien shook his hand. "Perfect."
