Bang.

I opened my eyes cautiously, trying to block the hangover that threatened to overwhelm me. My eyesight was swirling a bit, my mouth felt like sandpaper and my body like I had been run over.

That's what I get for going along with Eunji's crazy plan of getting in the mood.

Groaning in misery, I checked the alarm clock on my nightstand. 5:26. Far too early for me to get up, especially on a Saturday. Closing my eyes again and snuggling on my pillow, I tried to fall back into unconsciousness.

Bang.

What the hell is that noise? At freaking five a.m.?

Bang.

Oh, for God's sake.

Throwing my legs off the bed, I marched into the living room, listening for the noise that appeared to be coming from the hallway. Opening the door not so subtly, and completely intent on lashing out at whoever it was, I was caught unaware with what I found.

- Jeon. – I acknowledged, leaning against the threshold and arching an eyebrow.

- Hey, Hana. – he answered as he rolled the last of his noisy suitcases inside his living room. – What are you doing up so early?

- Some idiot decided to make the hallway his cart track and woke me up.

- Uh. No idea what you're talking about. – he muttered, a knowing smile playing on his soft lips. – Sorry.

- Tell me you have some aspirin and you're forgiven.

- Deal. Come on. – he urged me inside his apartment, closing the door behind me and heading for his kitchen.

After fumbling about in a drawer, he walked to where I was standing near his counter with a white tablet and a water glass in hand. Accepting his offerings, I swallowed it and returned the empty glass to his hands. As he turned to put it in the sink, I marched to his couch and laid down.

Stepping beside me, he just looked at me for a moment, analyzing the fact I had just thrown myself onto his sofa. After not even a minute, he laid down on the carpet and pulled me on top of him.

- So, how was New York? – I asked, playing with the collar of his baby blue shirt.

- It was good. – he said, a hand running up and down my back leisurely. – Lots of things to see.

- The job?

- It was nice. I took some pretty good ones. – he stated, stilling his hand and circling my waist with his arm. – I can show you later.

- Hmm.

- Anything in particular you want to ask me, Hana?

- Nah, I'm good.

I could feel his questioning stare and his raised eyebrow, daring me to voice my thoughts, even without looking at his face. But in the end, he just chuckled and nuzzled my hair softly.

We stayed there, in each other's arms, and my sleep was completely gone. Even my hangover seemed to be just a faint shadow at the back of my head, a barely-there presence.

Jungkook's hand sneaked inside my t-shirt, splaying on the skin of my back as he rolled to the side and inverted our positions, having me lay down on the carpet with him hovering above me.

His head automatically moved to my neck, just the tip of his nose running up and down at first, followed by his warm lips planting kisses along the same path. Both his hands holding my waist as he kneeled between my legs and started to mark my throat.

I knew exactly where this was going.

- Jeon.

- Hmm.

- Stop.

- Why? – he asked, continuing his assault.

He bit me just then, and my thoughts failed for a moment as I arched up and offered him more access. Not being one to deny such things, Jungkook lapped at the opportunity, really using his lips and teeth now.

Trying to divert my mind.

- Jungkook. – I mumbled as he bit down again. – Wait.

- Ugh. – he groaned, moving back a little to look at me. – What?

When I didn't say anything, he just arched his eyebrow and waited.

Shoot.

- What's going on, Hana?

- I just don't want any crossed interests.

- What? – he inquired, clearly confused.

Oh, damn. He'll make me say it.

- Well, if your buddy is coming anywhere near me, I just want to be aware of where he's been the past couple of weeks.

Jungkook just looked at me for a moment, my words sinking into his brain. When he seemed to understand, he rolled off me, laying with his back on the carpet and laughing his heart out.

Laughing at me.

- I don't see what's so funny. – I groaned, annoyed.

- I do. – he stated, continuing with his laugh.

Blood boiled inside me and suddenly I'm mad at him. I sat up and prepared to stand, intent on leaving the laughing idiot alone and going back to the safety of my apartment. But even as I thought of it, Jungkook held my waist and pulled me back down. I ended up sitting on his lap, my back to him.

- Hana, I was working. – he said, the smile still there.

- Is that supposed to be code for something?

- No. It means exactly what it sounds like. – he mumbled against my hair. – I was working. Just that.

- Yeah, right. Let's pretend I don't know you, Jeon.

- Hana, I was running around New York doing my job, and when I finally went back to the hotel I was too tired to even think about it. – he said, moving his lips to my ear. – My buddy didn't get to meet anyone.

- You want me to believe you went two weeks without taking care of business? – I asked in mockery, using his favorite expression.

- Now, I didn't say that, did I? I just had to take it into my own hands.

- In New York?

- Yeah, in New York. It's just a place. – he said, pulling the sensitive skin of ear with his teeth. – And, I'm not that desperate.

I started to laugh, but the sound turned into a moan when his hand went up my tee and held my breast, running his finger on top of the bra.

- Have we cleared the water now? – he breathed on my ear, the hot air sending a shiver down my spine.

- Hm-hmm.

- Good. – he agreed, both his hands cupping my breasts now. – My buddy was hoping to get some action.

- You'll never let me live that down, will you? – I asked, regretting my choice of words earlier.

- That depends. – he said, directly onto the hollow of my throat. – How much did you miss me?

- Much. – I breathed, leaning my back against his torso fully.

I felt his satisfied smile on my skin. I also felt how much he was missing me just now, as he turned me around in his lap. Kissing him and forgetting the doubts that had been assaulting me the past days, I ended up giving him the reins of my body.

Frantically holding onto him and pulling his hair. Moving restlessly against him and always wanting more, despite the fact we were both spent.

And falling asleep in his arms, on the carpet of his living room afterward.
