- So he's in London? – asked Eunji, sitting with her legs tucked under herself on my couch.

- Yep.

- And he'll only be back in six months?

- Bingo.

- Okay. What are you gonna do? – she inquired, looking at me expectantly.

- What do you mean "what am I gonna do"? He's there, I'm here. There's nothing to do. – I said, shrugging.

- Hana, you're not going to stay here and play the martyr. Especially because this isn't you. – she stated, pointing at me. – You may be stubborn and all, perhaps a little blind in some matters. – I opened my mouth to argue, but Eunji didn't let me. – But you are not a coward.

- What exactly am I supposed to do? – I asked. – Get a plane, fly to London and confess my undying love to him? – I said, ironically.

- Well ...

The doorbell rang and I took the opportunity to flee Eunji's advices temporarily. She had been pestering me about it ever since I called her yesterday, right after I spoke with Jungkook, and blurted a "He's gone" as a greeting as soon as she picked up.

In her mind, I had to do something. But truly, what was I supposed to do? I didn't even know what to tell him besides "Hey, your bills are taken care of". Shaking my head in frustration, I walked to the door and opened it.

Only to be facing a certain blonde in the hallway.

- Jimin?

- Hana, hi. – he offered a shy smile. – Can we talk?

- Uhm, sure. Come in.

Eunji eyed me from her spot on the couch and fled to my bedroom before Jimin saw her, giving us some privacy. Walking ahead of him, I sat down as he followed my movements and did the same, facing me.

- Before you say anything, I want to explain. – I started, but he interrupted me.

- No need, Jungkook already did.

- He what?

- Jungkook came to talk to me. – he clarified. – I got out of the house one day and there he was, leaning against his car. Anyway, he apologized for his behavior the other day and explained the truth.

- The truth? – oh my.

- Yes. I know you two had something. He didn't really know how to describe it. But he made sure to explain it was over even before you met me. And that his joke the other day was a warning, one that I didn't understand apparently. – he chuckled lowly to himself. – He cares about you Hana, a lot. He told me to talk to you and to make it work, because you deserve the best in life. Actually, he threatened me in case I mess up and hurt you. – he said, his eyes going wide for a split second. – But considering his attitude and looking at you right now, I guess we both know who is the best for you, right?

I was baffled, didn't even know what was happening anymore. The world seemed to have shifted around itself, leaving me suspended, cast out. Unable to comprehend what was going on.

I was looking at Jimin but I couldn't see him. All I saw was Jungkook. Jungkook being a dork. Jungkook being cheesy. Jungkook with me at the office party. Or later that night on his bed. His smile, his frown. The hard stare I earned when I said something he didn't want to hear.

Shit!

- Hana? – I looked up. – Are you okay?

- Yeah, yeah. Just ... absorbing.

- I thought I should tell you. – continued Jimin. – You deserved to know. – he finished with a sad smile.

- Thank you, Jimin.

- Nah. Any fool can realize how the air changes when you two are in the same room. I had absolutely zero chance of winning you over.

I thanked him again and hugged him, walking him to the door and saying goodbye. As I turned around, leaning against the door for support, Eunji stepped out of my bedroom with her mouth agape. She had totally been listening to the whole conversation.

- I didn't know ... - I started.

- Well, now you do. So, what's the plan? – she asked, sitting on the couch and resuming her previous pose.

- I don't know.

- Listen out then. – she stated, waiting for me to sit in front of her. – You'll call your work and ask for the vacation you haven't taken in three years. Then, you're going to book a flight to London. You'll tell Jungkook what you feel and you two can be all lovey-dovey with each other.

I just stared at her, arching an eyebrow.

- Eunji, I can't do that.

- Right. I'll book the flight then. But you're going.

- Maybe you're all wrong. – I started. – Maybe he already forgot whatever it was we had and is with someone else right now.

- Do you truly believe that? – she asked.

- He's a fuckboy, it's why he's so good at it.

- And yet, you fell for him. – she said smugly, eyeing me.

- Well, it has been proven that I can be an idiot sometimes.

- That's true, but in this case, I think you're wrong.

I sighed, leaning against the cushions and closing my eyes.

- So I go to London and confess to him. And then what? What if he doesn't want it?

- If that happens, which I highly doubt, then you tried. You won't be whining around like a puppy wondering what would have happened instead.

I hesitated, afraid to take the leap and end up crashing against the ground. I was afraid, there was no denying it. I didn't like the uncertainty that had installed itself in my brain, the one Eunji didn't seem to share.

- Hana, truly, what is the worst that can happen? – she asked. – For all purposes, he's already on the other side of the world and not here. If you want a reason, that is the only one. Why not? There's nothing left to lose.

I weighed her words and chuckled. She was right, there was nothing left to lose. But if I tried, maybe there was still something to achieve. An opportunity of something else. But I would never know if I stayed home.

- Fine, Eunji. Book the flight. – I said, looking at her. – I'm going to London.
