Chapter 15: You'd Risk Your Lives For Her?

The Next Night
Third Person's POV

After doing a night of patrolling around the Cullen's Jared and Jacob came back in the house in the living room to check on Skylar, only to see Emmett and Skylar cuddled up on the couch laughing.

"Damn, I'm sorry man." Jake whispered to Jared, knowing he had feelings for Sky, even though they both know she didn't share them, only as best friends.

Jared just ignored him and frowned at the sight.

"Boys." Carlisle said looking up at them from the bottom of the stairs and guestured them to follow him to his office where Esme was.

"We have a problem." Carlisle said opening the mini fridge as Jared grabbed the only bloodbag left and set it down on the desk.

"That's all that's left?" Jared asked with a frown.

"Skylar could deliver as early as tomorrow. If she's going to have any chance as of tomorrow she's gonna need more blood. Esoecially since it's twins." Carlisle explained.

"And you have to feed. You have to be at your strongest for her." Esme said to Carlisle then turned to the boys. "We need to go tonight."

"No." Jacob stated.

"He's right." Jared agreed. "Carlsile, to them you're the enemy now. Sam won't hesitate. You will be slaughtered."

"Sean and Connor will come with us." Esme stated.

"That won't be enough." Jared shook his head.

"Then we'll split the house into groups. If there's anything we can do to save her, we have to try." Carlisle said.

"You'd risk your lives for her?" Jacob frowned.

"Of course we would. Skylar's apart of this family now as much as Bella is." Esme said with a stern look.

"Yeah, we can see that." Jared nodded.

"This really is a family." Jacob said looking at Carlisle then to Jared. "As strong as the one we were born into."

Jacob and Jared shared a look before looking outside then back at Esme and Carlisle.

"We know what we have to do." Jared said then went over the plan with Jacob, Carlisle, and Esme.

Third Person's POV
Later That Night

Jared and Jacob walked into the woods of the Quileute land when Leah and Seth ran up.

"Guys, they're coming!" Seth panted.

"We know." Jared said looking around.

"We should phase, we can't protect ourselves like this." Leah added.

"No, they'll only see it as a threat." Jacob stated then turned towards the woods. "We wanna talk! I'd be easier if we could hear you too!"

That's when the bushes russled and Paul came out with Embry following.

"This isn't your territory anymore." Paul frowned. "How's the new family working out?"

"You done?" Jared asked as Quil jogged out.

"You coming home boys?" Quil asked.

"Not until we finish this." Jake stated.

"What do you mean?" Paul asked.

"We want Sam to take back Leah and Seth." Jared said, shocking the siblings.

"What?!" Leah freaked.

"No way!" Seth denied.

"Quiet!" Jake said glaring down at them before looking back at the others. "We want them safe, and we want this over. We need Sam to wait until Skylar has been separated from the problem."

"You mean until she's dead!" Paul growled.

"Ease up Paul." Embry frowned.

"Then what?" Quil asked the boys.

"Tell Sam when the moment comes, we'll be the ones to destroy them." Jared stated.

"Jared! Jake!" Seth said in disbelief.

"We're the only one's who can." Jacob said. "They trust us."

That's when the wolves howled from the distance, signaling to the others that something was wrong, meaning that Carlisle, Esme, Finn, Kol, Connor, Edward, Bella, Stefan, and Damon got across safely.

"You played us?!" Paul growled then turned around and ohased with the rest of his pack and left to Sam.

Skylar's POV

After hearing the howl from the distance, everyone knew they all got out safely. So as everyone hung around Rebekah and Hayley sat with me as we discussed the baby names I picked out.

That's when Jared and Jacob walked in and Emmett walked up to them.

"Thank you." Emmett nodded.

"Did they make it out okay?" Jared asked.

"Yeah." Emmett nodded.

"Good." Jared nodded as Jake walked passed them to me as they followed and Bekah and Hayley helped me stand up.

"Hey," I smiled at Jake and Jared. "You guys okay?"

"Yeah, it's not like I'm the one carrying  twin demons." Jared joked as I rolled my eyes rubbing my bump.

"This is pretty impirtant Sky, why don't you tell the boys what you decided." Hayley said catching their attention.

"Now what?" Jake frowned.

"She's finally decided on baby names. Hayley says they're gonna be a boy and a girl, and Bekah says they're gonna both boys." Emmett chuckled.

"Well we're here with you no matter what." Jacob smiled at me.

"It's simple." I shrugged. "If it's a boy and a girl it's gonna be Kolton Sawyer Cullen and Faith Iliana Cullen. If it's another boy it's Chase Elliot Cullen. And if it's another girl it's Luna Celine Cullen." I looked back to Jake. "What do you think?"

"They're perfect." Jacob smiled.

"See, I told you he'd agree." I said to Rebekah.

Bekah smirked and rolled her eyes, then handed me my plate of food. But it slipped through my fingers. Thats when everything happened so fast......
