Chapter 26: J. Jenks

The Next Day
Skylar's POV

After getting up the next morning Bella came over as Emmett went hunting with Edward, Jasper, and Connor. While Renesmee, Luna, and Faith were playing in Luna's room while Bella explained all the clues Alice left Bella. The only reason why Bella told only me was because our minds were the only safe ones from Aro.

"Oh, before I forget. Dad text me last night, he wants to see the girls and asked if he could come over." I told Bella. "I told him we'd drop them off. Wanna do that now and go see this J Jenks?"

"Sure, lets go." Bella nodded.

Once we got the girls ready, Nik, Jared, and Jake saw us about to leave and decided to go to Charlie with the girls, so Jake went with Bella and Nessy, and the other two dorks went with Luna, Faith, and I.

"I'm surprised you guys took a break from all that Jedi training." Nik spoke up as we were about half way there.

"If Bella and I don't take the girls to our dad, he'll come to us." I shrugged. "39 vampires, 1 human, not so great."

"We know that's what you told Emmett, love." Nik whispered to me as he and Jared looked at me but I just stayed quiet.

"Whatever." Jared sighed. "I'm just glad to be away from all thise reeking bloodsuckers."

This caused Nik and I to glare at him and Jared let out a scoff.

"Sorry." Jared apologized. "I know, they're the good guys."

"I don't like it as much as you do." I sighed. "As much as I am a vampire my wolf side is still ready to kill half of them. Especially Dracula on and too. Cause let's face it. They're creepy."

This caused Nik and Jared to chuckle as we pulled in next to Bella in Dad's drive way as Dad and Sue came outside.

"There they are!" Dad smiled as Luna, Faith, and Nessy all ran to Dad giving him a hug. "Wow! Look at you three. You all grown like half a foot." Dad looked at us, still not used to it. "Seriously, like 6 inches."

"Come on, lunch is on the table." Sue smiled.

"We also have a tree to decorate." Dad added.

"Actually Sky and I have some errands to run. We'll be back later though." Bella said.

Dad nodded and headed towards the house but I stopped Nik.

"Be good." I stated.

"I'll be on my best behavior." Nik smirked.

"No, you'll be better than your best behavior!" I frowned. "If I find one thing out of the ordinary I'll kick your ass again. It's pretty sad that I have to tell a 1000 year old vampire this."

"Scouts honnor." Nik said mockingly making me glare at him before looking at Jared and Jake, throwing them my keys as I made my way to Bella's car. "Keep and eye on him. And don't scratch my car!"

And with that Bella and I hit the road.

Later
Seattle, WA

Bella and I finally got to Seattle and walked into J. Jenks building to the secretary.

"Can I help you ladies?" She asked.

"We have an appointment to meet with J. Jenks." I informed.

"Of course, you both must be Mrs. Cullen." The secretary nodded. "Follow me."

We followed the woman to the fancy restaurant part of the building where J. Jenks was sitting at a table with two empty seats infront of him.

"Right over there." The secretary pointed.

"Thank you." Bella and I said before making our way over.

"Ah, Mrs. and Mrs. Cullen." J said shaking our hands before looking at Bella. "I'm so happy you called." He gestured for us to sit down and we did. "I always meet my private clients here. It's more comfortable than the office."

"And it's more public." I pointed out.

"Ah. Yes." J smiled taking a sip of water.

"So what type of work do you do J?" Bella asked.

"Oh, you know, this and that." J shrugged. "Which always keeps it interesting."

"Have you known Alice and Jasper long?" I asked keeping up the chit chat.

"I've been working with them for more than 20 years." J said with a sigh. "And my late partner knew Jasper 15 years before that. He is uh, unusually well-preserved."

"Uh, yes, he is." Bella nodded.

"I assume Mr. Jasper is enjoying his vacation." J added.

"He didn't tell you where he was going did he?" I asked.

"No, he just mentioned he was leaving and came by to place his orders." J informed.

"I assume his orders are ready?" Bella asked.

"Of course." J nodded sliding Bella and I each an envilope. "I've never been late with a delivery."

Bella and I took the envelopes and opened them. I pulled out birth certificates, ID's, passports, and drivers licenses only for Nik, Jared, Faith, and Renesmee. I looked over at Bella's and she had the same but for only Jake and Nessy. This caused Bella and I to look at each other in shock and sadly.

"Is there a problem?" J asked.

"No." Bella sighed as we put everything away.

"It's just that, we though that us and our husbands would be traveling all together aswell." I sighed.

"Jasper said only 6 were traveling." J frowned. "His instructions were very clear."

"It's our mistake." Bella nodded as we got up and grabbed our things. "Thank you, it was nice meeting you J."

And with that we left back to Forks. As we were driving back I was left in deep in thought.

Alice's vision was very clear. Luna, Faith, and Renesmee would have a future. But not one we've planned. They'd be on the run like how the Mikaelson's did for centuries from Mikael. They'd live a happy life, surviving, but Bella, Edward, Emmett, and I would never be apart of it after the Volturi arrives.

Bella went into the main house as I sped off with Luna, Faith, Jared, and Nik's papers in the envelope and into my house getting everything they'd need.

I grabbed two big back packs for the girls and put the extra money in the closet in both, same with the paper work and girls clothes before I started my notes to my girls.

"Sky? What's wrong, love?" Nik asked walking in. "I saw you run once you got out of the car."

"Nik, just make me a promise." I sighed walking past him as he followed me down stairs.

"Anything." Nik nodded.

"Keep my daughters safe." I sighed looking at him as I put the bags next to the front door. "And make sure they know, no matter what, Emmett and I love them so much."

"What are you talking about, love?" Nik asked worried. "What happened today?"

"I can't tell you." I said as tears rushed down my face. "But please, promise me. Protect my girls."

"Okay," Nik nodded pulling me into a hug. "I promise, always."

I sighed and pulled away.

"Okay." I said and walked out to the main house as I composed myself.

Once I walked into the livingroom, I smiled as I saw Emmett on the couch with Faith and Luna reading to them as they drifted off asleep.

I smiled and sat next to them as Faith cuddled up to me on my lap as I continued listening to Emmett while resting my head on his shoulder.

This is all I have wanted. This moment is one I will treasure until the end of our forever.
