AN: This chapter does not contain spanking, it's the story of how Hazel promised her friends not to abuse her powers against them. Thank you to akitagem for the suggestion!

Daisy let go of Hazel's hand and shoved her down on the bed. The other four girls stood next to her and looked down at their older friend.

Hazel sighed. "Ok, what is this about?"

Alecia cleared her throat. "We want you to make a promise."

Hazel looked confused. "A promise? For what?"

"Well, Hazel, you're head girl now." Lilian started.

Hazel nodded, thinking about the ceremony earlier. She and James had been called up to the stage at the welcome assembly and had the head badges pinned on their blazer's by the Headmistress and Headmaster respectively. The whole school had clapped. It was cool, and a bit embarrassing.

Daisy picked up the explanation. "So, you're in charge of disciplining people now. And that's what this is about."

Hazel nodded. "I had a premonition you were going to bring this up. Very well, what is your proposal."

Grace spoke up. "We want you to solemnly swear that you will never use your powers as head girl to take advantage of us in an argument."

Tina nodded. "Yeah. You can't spank us to get your own way."

Hazel rolled her eyes a little. "Honestly, why would I do that?"

Daisy crossed her arms. "Now you say that, but in the heat of the moment, your sentiments may be different."

Hazel sighed. "Ok, I promise."

Lilian smirked. "Raise your right hand and repeat after me."

Hazel rolled her eyes again. "Really, Lil? Did you write something out?"

Lil shook her head. "Nope. Daisy did."

"Of course." Hazel muttered and raised her hand."

Lilian cleared her throat. "I, Hazel Marie Jamison."

 "I, Hazel Marie Jamison."

"Do solemnly swear"

"Do solemnly swear"

"That I will not abuse my head girl powers"

"That I will not abuse my head girl powers"

"To win arguments with my friends."

"To win arguments with my friends."

"And if I do,"

"And if I do,"

Lilian paused. "Daisy, what does this say? Your handwriting is atrocious."

Daisy moved over and narrowed her eyes at the paper. "I forgot."

Lilian shrugged. "Ok, I'll make something up."

"There will be consequences."

"There will be consequences." Hazel nodded her head thoughtfully. "Very specific."

"Shut up." Lilian grinned.

Hazel smirked, then grew serious. "Ok listen, even if you didn't make me take some oath, I still would never abuse any of you. Of course, if you get in trouble, I'm not gonna give you a get out of jail free card, but I'll be fair and impartial. I care about y'all. I'll keep my promise."

Grace grinned. "You better, or (she began mocking Lilian with a deep, creepy voice) there will be consequences."

Hazel smiled. "Hey, you guys all have to promise something as well."

Alecia looked confused. "What?"

Hazel stared contemplatively at the ceiling. "If...if you ever get in trouble, and you deserve it, you can't be mad at me for punishing you. I can tell you right now I'm gonna hate it, but it's my job so I have to."

Lil smiled. "We promise. At least, I do. I know you'll be fair."

Tina nodded. "Yeah, if it's our fault we're not gonna blame you."

The other three nodded in consent.

Hazel nodded once. "Good. But don't get in trouble. Or at least, try not to."

Daisy rolled her eyes. "Why are you looking at me? Do you think I'll get in trouble."

Hazel rolled her eyes back. "At some point, probably. May I get up now?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"So I finally got out of there."
Raven nodded. "Hmm. Interesting, though not exactly surprising."
Hazel sighed. "Yeah, I was expecting it. I just hope I can keep my promise."
Raven smirked. "Don't suppose you'll make the same promise to me?"
Hazel smirked back. "For now. Don't push your luck."
