Lucas tossed his bag in the back of Nathan's truck as Riley whined. "Maxiii."

"Whaaat?" I laughed as she groaned and wrapped her arms around my neck and leaned half her weight against me.

"I don't wanna go hooome."

"Awe, you poor bean," I chuckled.

"I just wish we could stay here," she said. "I like it better here. No drama, no school, no parents. Being here with you guys it's just, it's like all my problems go away and everything's okay. I want it to stay that way," She pouted as she hung on me.

I couldn't help my small smile as I patted her head. "It'll be okay, maybe we can stay here all summer after school gets out."

She smiled as she straightened up again. "You think so?"

"Of course," I grinned and ruffled her hair before she whined and swatted my hand away.

"You should ride home with me and Luke."

"Yeah sur-" I began only to be cut off by a muscular arm tossing me over its matching shoulder.

"Nope, she's mine," Cole grinned as he walked toward the Chevy truck, holding me up like it was nothing.

I rolled my eyes and laughed. "Sorry Riles, we're going laser tagging so I'll ride home with you then."

"Nope, you're staying with me."

"Needy," I chuckled as he set me down by the passenger door.

"Whatever," he laughed and kissed me sweetly. Despite my bright blush and the butterflies that erupted in my stomach, I kissed him back.

It didn't last long due to Luke and Riley's cooing. Cole and I pulled away and flipped them off just in time for Nate to walk out with the last bag. "You guys ready?"

"Mhmm," I drew out and quickly stepped into the truck before Nate could see the light blush on my cheeks. Cole got in the driver's side as the others loaded into Nate's truck.

"That was close," he laughed as he put the key in the ignition and turned it to the side, the engine roaring to life.

"Little too close," I chuckled nervously. "I guess he's gotta find out at some point though."

"Not yet," he said, the curl of a grin on his lips. "Not till I know you're mine." I couldn't help my bright blush as he drove off.

"Cute."

"Yes you are," he said matter-of-factly as he rested his hand on my thigh as if the contact would help him drive, causing my cheeks to heat up even more.

"Smooth bastard," I mumbled only for him to laugh.

"Thanks, love," he smiled like an innocent little kid. I laughed and rolled my eyes at him as we lost sight of the cabin, now hidden behind the trees. "I had a really good time."

"Me too," I said and scooted over so I was sitting beside him. He removed his hand from my thigh to curl his arm around my waist as I leaned my head on his shoulder. I reached forward and turned the radio on to the station we always listened to and grinned as Rebel Love Song by Black Veil Brides blared through the speakers.

"This song was my shit in eighth grade."

"Cause you were in love with the lead singer," he laughed.

"Oh whatever, I wasn't in love with him."

"You thought he was hot."

"Not as much as you," I said and kissed his cheek. For once it was Cole blushing, not me.
