Freshman Year: Day 1

My alarm blared in my ear. I groaned and swung my arm over to turned it off. I sat up and rubbed my eyes as I woke my brain up. The first day. I thought to myself. I wonder if Kook is awake.

I reached over to the bedside table and grabbed my phone from the charger. I flipped through my notifications, most from Jungkook. Well, that answers that...

I sent him a quick text saying that I was awake before grabbing my towel and hopping into the shower.

Twenty minutes later I was waiting on the edge of my driveway for Kook to show up. We agreed to walk to school together because we lived so close and the school wasn't that far.

After two more minutes, he finally appeared from around the corner of the sidewalk. "Hey Tae!" He wore a bright smile on my face. Weird, he kept telling me how nervous he was...

"Hey Kookie!" I patted his back as we started our walk to school. "How'd you sleep?"

He shrugged his shoulders. "Eh, only about 4 hours." He replied with a blank stare at whatever was in front of us.

"That's it?" I tried to look him in the eye but he avoided eye contact.

"Yea, just couldn't sleep that well." He shrugged. I draped an arm around his shoulder and gave him a one-armed hug.

"Why not?" I asked him, slightly concerned.

He only shrugged. "Guess I got nervous and excited, you know?" He smiled up at me. God, I love that little bunny smile. I wrapped an arm around his shoulder as we continued our walk to school.

Once we entered those gaits, life would never be the same.
