Kook and I have been together for about 4 weeks now, and everything has been smooth sailing...except for a group of alphas that pick on us.
With me, since I'm also an Alpha, it's only minor teasing. But because Jungkook is a 'weak' Beta they get away with more. They would beat him, they would call him names, and Jungkook would refuse to say a word about it...
The two of us were laying on my bed after school, just plain cuddling. Jungkook had shown up at my door with fresh bruises all over his face and a cut on both his cheek and his collarbone. The Alphas at school had gotten to him again. I had helped him upstairs to my bedroom and we've just been silently cuddling ever since.
"Taehyung?" Jungkook whispered with his eyes closed and head still rested on my chest. I petted his hair softly.
"Yes?" I looked down at his half-asleep face. Adorable.
"I love you." He whispered as he rested a hand right over my heart.
I lightly rubbed circles on his back and kissed the top of his head. "I love you too."
He sighed and nuzzled up to my neck, dozing off shortly after. Once he was asleep I could really get a good look at him. The dark purple and blue marks on his forearms, the bloody knuckles- probably from self-defense- and the small cuts littered all over his skin.
I pulled him closer and rested my head on top of his. I have to protect him, he's going to get seriously hurt one day...

A few hours later I was woken up by Jungkook's stirring and groans in his sleep. I slowly blinked my eyes open and glanced down at the sleeping Beta. He whimpered and flinched, as if he was getting beat in his dreams. I sat up and pulled him into my lap and embraced him tightly as he jumped awake.
Tears immediately started streaming down his face as he clung to my shirt and cried softly.
"Don't let them hurt me..." He whispered into my chest.
"I won't, you're safe."
He looked up at me with watery eyes and a puppy face. "Promise?"
"Promise."
