It's been a while since that first kiss, and I would be lying if that was the only one, but neither one of us has asked the other out officially. I guess we're 'friends with benefits' but minus the sex.

I strolled through the halls on my way to my Math class when I was stopped by a large crowd completely blocking the hallway. What the-, my thoughts were cut off by a sudden yelp of pain followed by a painful crack.

I managed to push my way through the crowd to the center, all I could see was a senior hovering over what looked like a small Beta, probably a Freshman or Sophomore. "Quit your crying beta!" Slap! The Alpha Senior slapped the beta right in the face. That's when I knew who it was.

Jungkook.

I felt my blood boil as I threw my shit aside and stormed right up to the alpha and yanked him back by his shoulder. "What the hell are you doing?" I asked sternly.

His face went from 'I'm about to beat the snot out of this guy' to 'oh shit I fucked up' in 0.5 seconds. "T-Taehyung!" He stuttered.

"Don't 'Taehyung' me." I grabbed his shirt collar. "I asked you a question." I balled my other hand into a fist and gritted my teeth, making the other Alpha visibly afraid. All of the Alphas here are pussies.

"I-I.."

"You know what, I don't really care." I threw him aside and crouched down in front of the cowering Jungkook. I put a hand on his shoulder and his head instantly snapped up to stare at me. "You okay?" I asked just barely above a whisper. He slowly shook his head 'no' as he looked down at his hand.

I clenched my fist as I saw his wrist bent in a way it shouldn't be. I stood up and threw my fist into the alpha's jaw. Hard. I heard a satisfying crack before I turned to help Jungkook up.

"You passing English?" I asked. He nodded. "Good, because we're going home."

"Jin Eomma!" I shouted out into the house as I helped Jungkook inside and sat him down on the couch. I knelt in front of him and looked over his face, It was covered in bruises and there was a small cut on his cheekbone. Seconds later the Omega ran into the room.

"Taehyung? Why are you home- oh my god what happened??" Jin appeared at my side and started looking over the Beta in front of him.

"Some Alpha was picking on him in the halls," I felt my blood boil with hatred as I recalled the smug Alpha dick who beat Jungkook. "I broke his jaw," I said with a smirk.

Jin looked over at me with shock but Jungkook smiled. "He protected me." He winced when Jin pressed against his wrist. "Ow!" He retracted his hand and held it close to his chest.

"Definitely broken, want me to call a doctor?" Jin looked up at Jungkook, who still clutched his arm protectively.

"P-please don't tell my Eomma..." He trailed off. "She'll take me out of school..." A tear slipped past his eyelid and slid down his cheek. I reached up and wiped it away with my thumb.

He looked at me with his hazel eyes, filled with tears of fear ready to fall with the blink of an eye. "It'll be okay, we won't tell her." I glanced at his wrist. "But we have to tell the principal. That Alpha is going to continue with no restraint, who knows what he'll do next."

Jin nodded at me and stood up, dialing a number on his phone and walking out. Probably the doctor.

Jungkook looked down at me. "TaeTae?"

We made eye contact and he just smiled.

"Thank you," He leaned in close to me. "For protecting me."

Then he kissed me gently.

He pulled back after a moment and just smiled, with a slight blush on his cheeks. I smiled back at him.

"I'd always protect you."

"Promise?"

"Promise."
