A mother's love is eternal,
A tireless battle of wills.
No matter how many grass stains,
No matter how many spills.
A mother's love is a triumph,
Glorious and wildly fierce.
No anger can ever shake it,
No weapon can its armor pierce.
A mother's love is a foothold,
A steady, soft hand to catch.
If ever we fail at something,
We'll start over with a new batch.
A mother's love is sturdy,
It shapes this child's mind.
Your love protects and guides my dreams;
Mama, you are so kind.
Your love is like a castle;
I'm protected, no matter what.
Mama, you're the best in the world
And I don't want to hear a "but".
Your love is like a lioness,
Guarding me as you roar.
Your love is like an airplane,
Holding me as I soar.
Mama, you've always been there
Even when I was a clown.
You've stood by me for so long
And have never let me down.
Your love is sometimes stern,
You let me know when I'm wrong.
But Mama, that's why I'm here today,
And my! The years have been long.
Your love has protected me
For nigh on twenty years.
You've sheltered and defended me
And soothed away my fears.
So now I'll show you my love too
And boy, will I say it loud...
CONGRATULATIONS, MAMA!!!
You've made us all so proud.
