** This is a poem inspired by those of you who have read and voted on my poetry.  I am very glad you have enjoyed at least some of it, and hope that you will continue to do so.  Thank you for helping me get to #551 in the poetry listings.  I promise that at some point I wil actually go through this compilation of poems and attempt to organize them into sections for you.  Thank you all.  I really do appreciate the support you have given me.  **

Thank You

For all the lazy days of spring. 

For all the songs that we all sing.

For all the love and all the joy. 

For every girl and for every boy.

I say thank You.  

For every drop of gentle rain.

For all the healing after the pain.

For the tears of a tragic sorrow. 

For the sunrise that will come tomorrow.

I say thank You.  

For the voices on the wind.  

For every exception to a trend.

For the laughter of a child.

For a mind that is always wild.

I say thank You.  

For a love that is never broken.  

For a hatred that will never be woken.

For forgiveness of a terrible sin.

For the chance to start over again. 

I say thank You.  

For the strength to carry on.  

For recognition of right and wrong.

For the life that will always be. 

For the love that will carry me.  

I say thank You. 

For every book that will never burn.  

For every person that desires to learn.

For my family and gentle friends.

For the knowledge that my heart mends.

 I say thank You.  

For my heart and for my mind.  

For my ability to always be kind. 

For every parent that doesn't know how. 

For every person reading this now.  

I say thank You.
