Triple Cross

Three weeks after Ann left Viggo after the fight, she was always very worried about how he's doing. She went to her father and gave Mike to him. "Dad, I'm going after Viggo. I'm worried he's getting himself into trouble again. Will you take care of Mike for me while I'm gone?" "Of course, sweetheart. Mike will be fine with me, you just make sure Viggo will be fine. Just be careful, okay?" Her father said. Ann nodded, gave Mike a last kiss before she left. She went to Luna and flew off into the darkness of the night as it was dusk. "Jake, make sure she doesn't get herself into trouble as well." Steve said. Jake nodded and followed Ann with some more people from the Muzona Guard.

After a few hours of flying, Ann and Luna spotted a large group of Dragon Flyers heading towards an island, followed by a ship. "Get above the clouds, girl. This must be the ship which transports Viggo with it." She said before she noticed someone riding the titan wing Singetail. "Krogan! This ship is the one which has Viggo. Let's try to stay out of sight, girl and find a place near them to hide." Ann said to her dragon. 

They found a good spot to hide, within sight of where Viggo was standing, about two hundred meters away. She could hear what Johann told him to do. "Lead them. Do not fail me." Viggo turned away and went into the cave. "Viggo, be careful." Ann whispered as she saw what he was doing. 

It took about half an hour before the first few men returned outside. "It's a series of dead ends, sir. There's no lenses here." One of the Hunters said. "Seal the cave." Ann could hear Johann say it. No... She quickly thought. Baby, get out of there, now!

"But Viggo is still down there!" The Hunter quickly answered stunned. "I assure you, he's exactly where he should be." Johann said in cold blood. "You heard him!" Krogan yelled to the Flyers, whose Singetails fired at the entrance of the cave. 

It collapsed and Viggo would be trapped inside. "I have to do something." Ann said to herself, but Luna stopped her. Ann was upset that she couldn't do something for the one she loves most, but she understood Luna's intension. "You're right, girl. We must keep ourselves hidden, though I don't like to leave Viggo in there. We have to wait until the Flyers are gone, then we help him getting out." She said and Luna sounded a little squawk before they headed towards the cave. 

The men had left the area, all junk and trash was left behind, but Ann didn't pay attention to it. She pointed at the rocks and boulders and Luna would grab them and take them away. They left just enough for Viggo to get out himself. She walked back to her hiding place and looked at him, he was okay so far. 

He left the place, looking for some paper and wrote something before letting out a Terrible Terror with the message. What if that message would be for me? Then I'm never going to reply to him in time. Ann thought. Viggo walked away to hide and she couldn't find a trace of where he could've gone to.

Ann and Luna found him again after a few exhausting hours of looking for him. They decided to hide again, hoping he wouldn't have noticed them. Ann heard a familiar sound as well, Hiccup and Toothless were arriving at the scene. "Toothless, keep your guard up." He said to his dragon as they walked further. Viggo has put a Maces and Talons piece on a rock. Toothless growled at it when he saw it and it also attracted Hiccup's attention. 

"The Accomplice. One of the most important pieces in all of Maces and Talons, allowing a player to use an opponent's piece for their own ends. You can certainly win without it, but with it, you can attain total victory." Viggo said as he showed up from the bushes and trees towards Hiccup. Toothless got ready to fire a plasma blast, but Viggo was one step ahead by cutting a rope which triggered a bola to be fired at the Night Fury's head. Toothless wasn't able to fire anymore, nor to fight against their rival. 

As Toothless tried to get the bola off, Hiccup drew his flaming sword. "Stand down, I don't want to fight." Viggo tried to tell Hiccup. "Yeah, I figured it was you." Hiccup said with aggravation in his voice. Viggo laughed a bit while clapping in his hands. "Hmm. I'm impressed. For once, you're thinking a few moves ahead. However, I can't let you take too much credit. A false Terror Mail was not my most clever ruse, but time was of the essence." Viggo said.
