5. Fun, the year of the Unicorn
Dear diary,
I have already told you about my animal friends, it is only fair to tell you about my best fairy friend, Tinky. I already mentioned her but I want to tell you a bit more about her because she is awesome!
She is nothing like the other fairies, and she is not afraid to show it. She thinks that we should get rid of ALL the traditions and just enjoy life as it comes. Of course, others don't approve of that way of thinking, but she doesn't really care. I think that she is so brave and independent that I can't help but admire her unique personality. She helps me stay true to myself no matter what the others might think or do.
It is fun to be around her because we have similar interests and a sense of humor, but she can also be annoying at times. She can over-rationalize the smallest things and take away the fun out of them with reasoning. Luckily, she doesn't do this often so it's easier to deal with it even when it does happen.
One fascinating thing about our friendship is that we have a telepathic connection. Not always, well at least we try not to use it so often because it feels a bit intrusive. Anyway, a telepathic connection between two fairies is quite rare so, for now, we are keeping it to ourselves.
To be honest, it does come in handy sometimes when we want to communicate privately while surrounded by others. Others don't know about our telepathy, but it seems that they can sense there is something unusual happening and I can see it's bugging them. For them, it's like an itch that they can't scratch but for us, it is one of the most amazing things besides magic. It helps us have even more fun because we don't waste time speaking our thoughts, but we share them telepathically.
We really like to explore, so we often go to other parts of the world and try to see all that can be seen and do all that can be done. In this aspect, magic is really helpful since we can get from one place to another instantly if we wish. I say if we wish because we sometimes prefer to travel slowly and enjoy unexpected beauties.
The thing about us is that we are very unpredictable, even we don't know what we might do next. It's such a fun way to live your life, by enjoying every moment. Other people keep trying to tell us how to live our lives, they keep trying to control us but unsuccessfully.
