How far will you go?

The next morning, I thought the king would have left sometime in the night/morning. However, I was surely proven wrong.

Thranduil laid beside me, much in the same position we had fallen asleep in. "Good morning" Thranduil said behind me and I smiled.

"I thought you would have left" I said not moving. I felt Thranduil's arm tighten and I couldn't help but love the feeling. "Never" I smiled and moved to sit up.

"Everyone is probably wondering where you are" I said standing. I could practically feel Thranduil smirk behind me "I highly doubt that, not after last night." I blushed at the thoughts of last night. How embarrassing.

"I don't understand" I heard rustling behind me. "Well with you being my consort, it would be expected for us to sleep together, however, I'm sure most would think you would be in my bed." My eyes went wide, did people really think that.

A pair of arms wrapped around my waist and I let them settle there. "Don't worry too much about it and if someone gives you trouble you have only to come to me"

Thranduil leaned in and kissed my neck, causing my stomach to do strange things. "Yes your highness," I said.

"You don't have to call me that, you know you may call me by name" I nodded I did know, but I knew it would take time getting used to.

.................................

It was not until later that day when I ran into Calen the she-elf from last night. She smirked at me making me feel uncomfortable.

"Well if it isn't the slut who has been trying to seduce our king" I stopped and stared at her, "I think you mean yourself" I said. She didn't say anything, but I could tell I had upset her causing me to smirk inwardly.

"He will never love you, he is just using you because he has no one." "If he has had no one, then why did he not choose you. You have known him for years and he has never looked in your direction."

"Shut up slut, you just got lucky he'll get rid of you soon" I knew I couldn't believe her but there was still a part of me that worried if she was right. No, nothing she says is true. I can't give up on Thranduil so easily.

"Just shut up" I said quite loudly at her. "You know nothing" With that I left not expecting to be hit from behind.

My head hit the wall harshly causing my vision to blur slightly and blood to rush down my forehead. I quickly got up and ran down the hall. I didn't know how to fight. I made it to an open arena where a few elves were practicing.

One of them would help me right. I turned and faced the mad she-elf. She was snarling fiercely at me. "Why don't you fight me you coward" "Y-you're the coward" I said back. She smirked and ran at me. Then suddenly, I dodged out of the way at a quick speed.

Not knowing where it came from. I looked around shocked for a second, but a second waisted as Calen swung her sword and cut my shoulder leaving a deep gash.

I dodged her next attack when I noticed an elf behind me. I quickly ran to him pulling his sword from the scabbard and blocking Calen's next blow and striking her across the face. I easily sidestepped her and swung the butt of the sword into her head.

Somehow she was still conscious. She was kneeling on the ground but was quickly able to stand and face me. I noticed many other elves had arrived, noticing what was going on.

Calen swung and I blocked, this went on for a while before she kicked me in the shin making me topple to the side. She came in for the killing blow and tried my best to move but to no avail.

This was it, this was my last moment and I would die at the hands of a lowly slut. I let out a very unmanly shriek, but nothing happened. I slowly looked up and noticed Calen on the ground unconscious.

Thranduil's back was facing me and I could see his shoulders were tense. The guard I had taken the sword from stood close by looking nervous.

I didn't know it at the time but apparently, others had tried to help but were either hurt by Calen, myself or unable to do anything.

Thranduil turned and knelt beside me his eyes locked on the cut on my head and shoulder. "Can you stand?" he asked as he offered me a hand.

I nodded and took it. He didn't say anything on the way to the halls of healing.
