Melcon pov
The blond she-elf made her way to the king's side and took a seat.
She had long flawless blond hair and the perfect figure. I was suddenly overcome by anger and jealousy. Where did that come from?I shook my head and went to find another place to sit when an angry voice interrupted my thought.
"What are you doing?" The king said not facing the she-elf, but everyone knew he was talking with her.
The elf looked confused "Oh Thranduil what do you mean?" She asked in a sweet voice. There were many gaspes from the table. How dare she. No one called the king by his name so casually.
Even I had not been allowed that privilege. I could feel my anger boiling over and made my way over to her. She looked at me but quickly turned back towards the king.
"Thranduil-" she started but I didn't let her finish. I dumped my bowl of porridge on her head, causing her to screech loudly.
"You little Bitch" She yelled making me step back. "ENOUGH" Thranduil said, but not yelling. "Calen, enough" The she-elf faced the king.
"What do you mean, that stupid bitch is the one who you should be yelling at"
"That bitch, as you call him is my consort." Everyone was silent. I tried to rack my brain around when that happened. The she-elf Calen gasped and looked towards me with fury, but I stood my ground and stared right back.
Scoffing the girl left the room, leaving only silence. Then Legolas started clapping and soon everyone joined in. I was moved to sit next to the King and practically everyone congratulated us. All were warm and welcoming.
Later that night I adjourned to my room, not meeting with the king. I know it was somewhat childish, but I could not fight my nerves.
Not long into my internal monologue there was a knock at my door. I opened the door slightly. The king stood there and it shocked me. He had not been to my room since he first showed it to me when I arrived.
"Your Highness" Thranduil gave a small sad smile. "May I come in?" he asked and I nodded.
"I'm sorry about tonight, Calen has always tried to get close to me. I have never returned her feelings though. I hope you are not to mad at me about tonight."
"No, your highness it is I who you should be mad at. I don't know what came over me. I was just angry" The king came closer to me almost an arm's length.
"No, Melcon, you don't understand what you do to me. Ever since I laid eyes on you I knew you would be mine." My breath caught in my throat. "If you would have me, than I would love nothing more." I said.
I truly wanted this. Like Thranduil said there was something I could not explain that drew me close to him. God, I wanted him too. The next thing I knew his lips were on mine and I could do nothing but kiss back.
His hands moved to my thin hips and mine wrapped around his neck. The kiss was short, but it was like nothing I knew. "Allow me to stay tonight" he asked pressing a kiss to my forehead.
I thought, was that really a smart idea? "I promise I won't do anything" he said chuckling. I smiled and moved towards the bed Thranduil's hand in mine.
He wrapped an arm around my waist as we lay together. It wasn't long before sleep overcame me.
