"Are you mad at me?" I asked since Thranduil had not said a word since he saved me. Thranduil looked at me shocked and quickly made his way to me.
"I'm sorry if I made you feel that way. I am not mad at you but at Calen and the others who could not protect you."
"I don't need protection" I said. Thranduil gave me a look like 'really'. "To be honest I don't know how I did anything out there. It was all a blur."
"It was probably part of your memory coming back" I nodded my head, that made sense. "I'm just glad you're ok" I smiled "I am too, um, thank you for saving me and everything" Thranduil smiled "Anything for you."
Much of the time spent after the fight was spent trying to unlock my missing memories. It was something I knew would only hold me down in the future.
And trust me there was nothing easy about it. I knew the memories would have to be triggered, but I didn't know how to do that. I wanted to know where I came from and if I had a family somewhere.
I knew it worried Thranduil, that maybe I had a lover waiting for me back home. And to be honest I did too. I was starting to really fall for the king.
Calen, if you were wondering was taken care of. She was thrown in the dungeons shortly after the fight. Her wounds were treated.
I have also made a couple of friends, mainly with the maids and kitchen boys. Legolas and I have gotten closer and I am proud to say things are going well.
Thranduil and I don't sleep together every night, but occasionally we will. Is it selfish, to want him with me more? You might be thinking no, but it's hard to think that way sometimes. What if he wants to sleep alone. No no no I know he enjoys coming over, I know it.
I must tell you that while walking the halls today I heard some strange talk. The dwarves that had escaped some time ago.
They have a mountain and we are fighting them. Why would we have any use for a mountain? I should probably look more into that. I don't want to go to war if it is not needed. I made my way towards the kitchen to grab a quick bite.
"Lolas" I called to one of the serving boys. The boy was human and lived not far away but worked here most days for money. "Melcon, how has your day been?" The boy ran up and hugged me and I hugged back.
"My day has been fine, but I have been hearing some strange gossip or news all day," Iolas stepped back "Yes there has been some strange talk of late. Working here you do hear a lot." I smiled this boy was adorable.
"What have you heard, I'm not sure exactly what's going on"
"Well it was something about how the king didn't want the dwarves to do something or something like he doesn't like the dwarves, so they are going to war."
"Wow, that was quite an explanation." The boy smiled proud of himself. I guess I would have to find out myself. "Well thank you anyway, so, what are you making?"
.............
"Legolas is it true that Thranduil is going to war with the dwarves?" I asked. Legolas looked towards me with a sad look. "Ada is not happy with the dwarves, they already made him look like a fool by escaping his grasp before."
I nodded my head, "But will he really go to war" Legolas sighed "I do believe so." His words deflated me, the war was never the option to anything. I don't know why I felt so strongly about it though.
"Maybe you should speak with Ada about this. He will not lie to you about anything." I nodded my head and stood from where I sat beside the blond elf.
"How have things been going between you two?" I thought for a minute and smiled. "Really good, very good actually" Legolas smiled and gave me a small hug "I better go talk with him then."
With that, I moved on to the throne room, but he was not there. I huffed lightly and moved on down the hall. Corolin one of the maids waived to me as I passed and I smiled back but decided to stop her.
"Corolin do you know where I might find his majesty?" Corolin smiled "I served him to lunch in his room earlier, he will more than likely still be there." I smiled and nodded my thanks. Once I made it to the king's room I knocked gently on the door.
"Enter" I slowly entered the room. Thranduil sat with his back to me. I made my way over and draped my arms around his shoulders. "What are you working on?" I asked he was holding and examining a map in his hands.
He placed the map on the desk in front of him. He moved his body as best he could to face me. Making it easier, I moved in front of him. I was shocked when he wrapped his hands around my waist and pulled me onto his lap.
I gasped slightly as both my legs straddled Thranduil's legs. I felt his lips attach to my neck and I moaned softly and closed my eyes.
I could feel my body heating up and my breaths started to come out more rapidly. I moved my hands so they were locked in Thranduil's hair. My back arched and I moaned loudly when I felt a bite on my neck.
I moved my hands down Thranduil's chest feeling his muscles underneath his shirt and I so wanted to go further.
But suddenly Thranduil stopped worshipping my neck and and moved back. I whined loudly not wanting him to stop.
"Needy little thing aren't you" I could hear him smirk, but I didn't open my eyes. "Sorry," I said putting my head down. "Don't apologize, you did nothing wrong." I nodded my head.
"Why did you come to see me, I'm sure it wasn't for this even though I did enjoy it." I blushed but didn't move to get up. "What's all this rumor stuff I've been hearing about you going to war with the dwarves?"
Thranduil froze and looked away from me. "Of course you would hear talk about this throughout the halls"
"Yes, will you not tell me?" Thranduil looked at me "It is just something I must do." I removed myself from the king's lap and stood. "No, you don't you don't have to sacrifice lives for this. It's not worth it."
Thranduil's once tranquil face hardened. "You don't tell me what I can and cannot do" Thranduil stood, towering over my small figure.
I wanted to shrink down, but I stood straight. "I-I will tell you what I think Thranduil. I care about you, so you will listen to what I have to say."
Thranduil's once-angry face turned to one of shock. Obviously, no one had ever spoken to him that way before, but it quickly went away.
"NO" he yelled and I stepped back "we will not be discussing this."
I didn't say anything and made my way towards the door, practically running out. I didn't stop until I made it to my room. I wanted to scream, yell and curse the king.
But I knew that would do no good.
